Saw a hot, but very young, provider today.  She told me she plans to move to Bangkok.  She chattered on for a while about why she wanted to go there, the things she would do and see when she got there, how she'd support herself, etc.  After a few minutes I mentioned something about Thailand, to which she replied:

"Bangkok is in Thailand?"

Can anyone top that?

Once she asked me where I grew up. My reply:  "Upstate New York." Her response:  "[giggling] You think New York is a state?"

and didn't know it is in Thailand!  Well, on reflection, most of the time we don't hire these ladies for their intellect!

If it were, what's these people's excuse?

Although in reality, I'm not defending anyone, especially my generation. I do my fair share of /headdesk and //facepalm when talking to people of all colors, ages, creeds, etc.

Not sure what her excuse is, but when I'm nervous I'm not the best conversationalist. I usually remain quiet, looking like a deer caught in head lights.

For some it's easy to get away with while young. You can just smile and giggle your way through it.

Although, I myself would rather talk to someone who can hold an conversation without me going, 'What!?'

One of the best answers was "I'm not sure but I think the security guard over there can tell you." The other surprise answer was "Off the cost of Spain."

Many people sadly do not know things one would think everyone knows. Such as who is our Vice President.  It's really a shame. But people have better things to do then learn and retain information. There is Facebook after all. And You Tube. ;-(
