I've only been to one Oktoberfest and it was great, at least the parts I remember lol

1977 in Munich, spent a week there on a three day pass. It cost me a stripe, but it was WELL worth it.

Sorry if this really wasn't too helpful. lol

Cooler weather and changing leaf colors are making me wanna go do something German-esque this weekend - drink good beer at a Fest Hall somewhere.

I've been to the Helen, GA, tourist trap more times than I care to remember - so I'm looking for alternatives.

I've heard Asheville, NC, is great for beer in general - but does anyone have any other OktoberFest recommendations?

Thanks in advance,
ga_kosh

A fucktober fest lol!!! Beer is on me ;)
Hugs and kisses

'm envisioning TL  in a traditional Munich beer maid dress.

Electr0n: "Wow Koshie, check out the jugs TL's carrying."
Me: "yeah, and all those beer steins she's holding are huge too!. Do you think she brought any for us?"

Thanks for the lovely image, TL.

It may be a bit more intimate than a big box biergarten, but it's much closer (Duluth) than the other places you mentioned. Plus, during Oktoberfest, the prices are actually lower than usual.

Zum Woh

This place is as German as it gets around here.....
