I prefer out-of-town get togethers for discretionary purposes. I'd hate to run into a friend of the family if I was out with a sweetie. Tough to explain.
Having seen my first out of town provider(shout out to Tawney here cause Detriot board is not that active), I am wondering if people have found the experience different being out on the road or not for them. For me it was different because I got caught up in the whole being someplace new and seeing it though someone elses eyes. Also, the running into someone that might know me was pretty much nill.
in the evening if you're on a business trip and don't know anyone to hang with in the town?
At home I have my regulars whom I've known for a while and feel good about seeing.
On the road, even with TER as a resource to find a good date, it's still a bit of a gamble.
I'll still take the home court advantage anyday.
I just got back from visiting my "out of town fav" whom I haven't seen since last December. She is among a handful of truly special women that I have met on the road over the years. My local ATF will be my favorite lady until the day she retires but I travel a lot for business and it's always interesting to renew acquaintances with a lady that you enjoy but haven't seen for a while...
