Whatever happened to the legal idea of entrapment?  If the LEO told the guy it was "$80 for sex,"  Then she is the person soliciting, not him.  That's why I wonder about all this.

According to a news source tonight, that famous person who recently was busted in DC called a BP provider to his room for an $80 visit.  The provider was not a provider......  Sounds like he avoided saying the magic words about exchange of $ for S, but was busted anyway; not sure of the complete facts.

Otherwise we may see another person taking matters in their own hands to deal with the problem like Brandy and Deborah Jeane....

They mentioned he went into a sting operation where 14 other guys got arrested. They also mentioned he went into the hotel with a hoddie. Go watch the video.

It was an outcall. Why are some people so... not clever?

The conversation with the undercover:
"According to the charging documents, when the undercover officer arrived at X’s room around 5:45 p.m. the undercover officer said it cost $80 for sex. X immediately tried to rebuff such talk and said “Oh I don’t wanna say all that.” The undercover officer responded “I just need to know so I don’t have any surprises.”

After the two discussed the type of sex, the undercover officer then asked “You want me to dress up?” X responded "oh yeah.” No further details were given."

Sigh. There ought to be a class, like "Hiring an Escort, 101". A proper "John's School". Lol

"D.C. undercover officers were responding to “complaints” about prostitution activity in the 1500 block of Rhode Island Avenue NW". The other new source mentioned that 14 guys were arrested. They also mentioned he walked into the hotel with a hoddie. This leads me to believe that this article is not completely accurate.

Why would LE put a vice cop in harms way where the hotel door can be locked and the officer could get harmed ? That is why they do stings with incall where they have key to the hotel room.

Sounds like a lot of inconsistencies in the reporting. I haven't read the article you're referring to- can you give me an exact phrase from the article I can google to find it?

Either way- he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

with the story. If you read the Washington Post, it says the undercover officer went to his room, and it details the conversation. If you watch the video from ABC, it says it was an incall sting. Who knows?

The main question I have is...

$80?????

Thanks for the link, wrps! :)

They might be releasing false information so the defense can't use it against them in court. It also has a desired effect of scaring guys into staying away from outcall and try to get them into incall reverse stings. He might end up suing the dc police department for defamation of character.

somehow given his public contrition I doubt he'd have much of a case.

Just playing devils advocate but I'm sure if the police did a sting they would tell the hotel and staff which I'm sure would be more than complicit with giving the undercover LEO a 'master key' to a certain room as well as any LEOs that would be in any adjacent rooms, I would think.  I mean I guess the deadbolt on the door would be an issue.

I'm assuming he didn't do his 'homework' on said lady and probably did a TOFTT.  Again, I don't know the exact details, but the report says that there was certain explicit language about what was occuring that from what I know isn't supposed to be talked about.  When you say he avoided the language of saying $ for S, I don't think he did exactly, because the article states that she told him what was what and even though he didn't say the 'magic words' he still complied with the offer.  That is what, as far as I know in legal terms, got him.

$80?

Sound like guy didn't differentiate between reality and hopium.

Maybe in latin america, asia or europe for that rate.
