Less support for our allies in the South Pacific and allow for great expansion.

Here's the problem as I see it. Letting Russia and China advance their control unchecked will not sit well with the Pentagon. So we'd have a President swinging a green light and a military simply not cooperating. That would create a list of volatile problems. None of which would increase our popularity with our allies.

Who knows, but I bet the Pentagon doesn't like Trump. Ain't there style to worry 'bout things, just take control of the situation and fix it. But to an ordinary civilian like me, having brass reign in the Commander and Chief seems dicey

Katty Kay, BBC's chief political reporter in the US, says Europeans worry a great deal about the possibility of Trump as US President. Because republicans have the majority in both Houses and because the majority of republican legislators do not agree with Trump, he won't be able to do anything he promises to do. The likes of Paul Ryan won't let him.

But, his loud mouth and impulsive tweets can lead to serious problems in Europe and elsewhere. For example, if Putin has eyes on Latvia or Estonia, he can manipulate his poodle to bark exactly how he wants and make his actions appear legitimate.

Historically, stupid politicians have caused more trouble and suffering than hardliners.

Presidential candidates say whatever to get elected. But, there are checks and balances to rein in a belligerent and misbehaving president. Experienced bureaucrats in the Pentagon and CIA may not fall in line and carry out commands with enthusiasm, especially if the president is in a mutual massage relationship with his Russian counterpart.

President is the Commander-in-Chief, yes, but Congress has the sole authority to declare war. Tramp will be effectively tamed by his own party legislators.

As Mr Khan said, it is quite likely that Tramp doesn't know much about the constitution
