The first Clinton-Trump debate is over. Both of them phoned...

...into Bill O'Reilly's show right after the Nice terrorist truck attack.  O'Reilly interviewed them separately but asked them basically the same questions.  Neither Trump nor Clinton had time to prepare for this "debate."  Both had to draw on their experience and knowledge.

Trump spoke in vague generalities ("We gotta get stronger) and used the interview to attack Clinton and Obama.  O'Reilly asked Trump leading questions and Trump answered them the way he thought O'Reilly wanted him to and the way a Republican should answer.

Clinton was asked the same leading questions but she answered thoughtfully, drawing on her many years of experience.  Clinton never mentioned Trump, directly or indirectly.  She stuck to the issues and answered the questions with knowledge of the situation and gave specifics as to what needed to be done.

Don't take this lyin' lefty's word for it; watch the interviews for yourself.  If you honestly believe Trump sounded more in command of the issues and more "presidential," then you must need help tying your shoelaces.

Who gives a fuck what she says? Look at her record of what she DID and NOT what she SAID:

-Russian Reset debacle

-China taking over South China Sea

-Syrian line in the sand

-Failing to attack ISIS when out in the open

-Iranian Appeasement

-Cuban Appeasement

-Stolen valor

-Voted FOR Iraq War then was FOR a too quick withdrawal w/o leaving residual force

-Claimed Yemen was a shining star in U.S. policy only to see Yemen fall apart

-Insane Bergdahl swap

-Lied to the families re: Benghazi and let her subordinates do so for MONTHS on end

Yes we are all SO impressed that she "stuck to the issues and answered the questions with knowledge of the situation and gave specifics as to what needed to be done."

Virtually every chance she had to ACT on specifics or give counsel as to what "needed to be done" she fucked it up and was on the WRONG side. LOL

Imagine her as Commander-in Chief? LOL. No, neither can I.

...under pressure when asked the same questions.  That's the closest thing to a debate they've had so far.  But you go ahead and keep on carrying water for your party's candidate.

.......Trump will have ample time during the debates to show the World his vast foreign policy acumen.......lol

Bloomberg:

Throughout his career, Trump has left behind a well-documented record of bankruptcies, thousands of lawsuits, angry shareholders, and contractors who feel cheated, and disillusioned customers who feel ripped off. Trump says he wants to run the nation like he's run his business. God help us.

Let's say we want to get tough and patrol the hot points. Fine. Boulevard des Anglaise stretches a long ways. Then it becomes Boulevard des Etats Unis. Bastille Day is a foreseeable target date, maybe, but there are another 364. There are thousands of Boulevard des Anglaise type targets. Within a ten-mile radius of where I'm sitting there is Rodeo Boulevard, Ventura Boulevard, Avenue of the Stars, even Hollywood and Highland could be considered a prime target if just for iconic reasons. Are we going to have police and military platoons stationed along each possible target 168/52 in every American and European city?

So getting tough has to mean something else if we expect any material result from that POA.

Carpet bombing Syria is cheaper, but wouldn't result in any kind of desirable outcome.

If we send in our troops and become enmeshed we will not only be playing into ISIS, we will be appeasing them, saying, You want American forces occupying a geographic space atop or near Damascus, you got it.

It sounds to me like Clinton and Obama are both on the right track by reducing geographic control and condensing the area they have to operate and hide into as small a knot as possible before a decisive conclusion that will limit collateral death to a minimum and result in the remnants of ISIS dispersed and underground. Even then, flexibility is strength, so it's just another stage requiring a new mission objective and immediate and multi-step plan of action.

Trump's reaction is like Pappy Hokum yelling, "Damn them varmints! Wait till I get my shotgun! I'll show 'em who's boss!" Which, unfortunately, is how a lot of well-meaning Americans can understandably be expected to react.
