My short notice requirement is REALLY short. I literally try and book at times anywhere between ASAP and an hour in advance. Very hard for me to commit 3-4 hours out because my schedule is so crazy and changes multiple times every day. I'm a bit of a PiTA that way. I'm a bit picky too so often times the ASAP gal is not for me. The regular girl I was seeing would be at her place, bookings or not. Made life easy, albeit ex0ensive 
Certainly too much to ask of anyone else but it worked for her. Just curious if there is anyone, indy or agency, that fits that mold.
In my experience this is one of the areas where agencies have the advantage - being able to set up a short notice rendezvous. If you are flexible in who you want to see I think it is a win-win.
I agree that there are definite perks to having a regular indy girl... but I don't consider her always being available for me at the last minute one of those perks. At least not a reliable one. As you'd expect these ladies are quite popular, industrious, and enterprising - which equates to having a very busy schedule themselves.
Why do you think that you are wearing on an agency? As long as you are a good client, I don't see the problem. I'm just curious as I really don't have that much experience with agencies. But the times I've counted on them usually was when I had a last minute cancellation. I called them up, asked who was available, and voila - instant date. I've found agencies quite accommodating in that regard.
