Lets face it, I am not going to read it any time soon. In my view it is just a commercial book written to sell exploiting something everyone knows it always sells… that is sex.  

Personally I rather read something a little more… educated.  

But I do like the sense of initiative of the writer.

I don't know if you have read the book yet but in my opinion it has no literary value and is boring.  
Also I know that it made BDSM community worry because it misinforms people.

Tried reading 50 shades, but couldn't get past the first page. I got bogged down in the terrible writing. Looking forward to watching Sedaris' no doubt hilarious take on it, so thanks for sharing!
