I have been abroad and was seeing providers regularly, good looking ones with great service, for $75-100 an hour.
Even in Germany, an advanced economy, an hour runs about $150 which is still reasonable.

Are guys really forking over that much? That doesn't seem at all sustainable unless you make $250,000 a year.
With those prices i might be out of the market. I guess I will have to use the money I would normally have spent here in dC on the hobby to just buy a plane ticket to someplace where rates are more reasonable.
I don't make $250K a year and my regular is $400 a visit. It's sustainable for me as long as I limit my visits to 4 times a month, plus a couple of trips together

Assume somebody makes $4000 a month after tax, which would be about $65K-70K befor tax income a year. This is well above the average income.
Then at rates of 400 to 500 a once a week hobby sucks up half income. That sucks.

there is no direct and consistent correlation between rates and quality of service so shop in the price range that is comfortable to you and look for high quality of service within that range.....
I have never seen anyone for over 350/hr and my gut tells me that over 90% of providers in this market fall in that price range based on the reviews I take note of..... but I have not done a comparative search so this is just anecdotal
Germany gets the benefits of The open borders of the EU. Girls from the eastern, less affluent, EU countries are just a few hours train ride from Germany. $100 - $150 per hour can look like big money to a cute girl from small town in Poland, Slovakia, the Baltics etc.

I think you can find a great selection for $300 an hour or less. I know that there are a ton of model types for $600/hour but there are plenty of beautiful girl next door types like me for 300/less

I dont think its a reflection of economy. Wages are stagnant and middle class in US is getting wiped out. Asset prices are rising but QE will end, so all those trillions of dollars of fed money printing and one result is $700 hours?

DC has a lot of high income professionals such as lawyers, lobbyists, doctors, and investment bankers who are willing and able to pay $400 and up for attractive escorts provide good service and it is not a lot of money for those guys. That is why DC attracts a lot of escorts from out of town. They are all competing for that business, and price is not a biggest factor for those guys. Hot girls who provide great service can and do charge $500 or higher and they are still busy.
For me, $400 is a lot of money for one hour because I am not one of those guys. That being said, with research and effort, there are more reasonable priced escorts at the $250-300 range. They are much harder to find but they are out there and those are girls that I are willing to see. I have tried out BP girls at the more reasonable prices but so far I have not been impressed with their looks or service.
