I am posting under an alias for what will become obvious reasons.  In my city, there was an online post (not on TER) recently that a certain well reviewed provider is now co-operating with local police as part of a sting operation.

If it is true, I would like to spread the word to the TER community and save some people the problems associated with being caught in a sting.

If it is false, I do not want to harm her reputation -- I could see how a jealous boyfriend/angry client/even a competing provider might go for the jugular and try to wipe out this provider's reputation with the ad, and I dont want to contribute to that.

What to do

Did a search for the word "police" on BP and saw what I saw. Should we be concerned if we've visited with this girl before?

Just dont respond.

After ~2 months it will either be she is done or in jail. Other than that, you could attempt contact, but no explicit or hankypanky.

Jealous provider. Do the calculus something does not compute right.

Also a provider working for le does not do outcalls.

If a john is busted they are told by le not to disclose anything lest they be charged with obstruction of justice.

Take a look at her competition for the same types of services and providers you have your answers. Competition is fierce.

Soooo, she is definitely my type and I had reached out to her letting her know she was on my BL and that this week was the week.

I'm conflicted.  I hesitate to conclude it's an LE thing totally, because, I believe she was making a dent in the market here as a newcomer and becoming major competition.

With that said, LE could have targeted her BECAUSE she is/was a newbie to the area and she may have got  "caught up."

So as the saying goes, in the spirit of Football season kicking off....."When in doubt...Punt."

I'll punt till and play defense.

With all the posts on backpage wonder why this individual was pin pointEd by LE.  I have no experience with this sort of thing but I'm just wondering how a provider might be busted like this.

angry boyfriend seeking a vendetta, angry competition, lackluster screening, hotel staff complaints...

While your analysis may be correct, my thing is, why take the chance and risk getting caught in the web if you are wrong?

Just my thought
