Thanks!  LinkedIn would not be the most comfortable option for me.  I'm in a rather high profile position & need to  be cautious.

I am new to this & was turned down for screening.  Any thoughts on how I can get in?

TER GENERAL BOARDS>FAQ FOR NEWBIES

Very helpful moderated board that will give you lots of insight.  They will answer questions such as these.

But the cliff notes (once you have read the board):  Find a newbie friendly provider such as Ginger Taylor - there are others, but Ginger was my first TER provider and I highly recommend her.   If you can't have fun with Ginger, you need to reconsider the "hobby".   Give her the information she wants.  See her.

Thanks for the advice.  Sounds like Ginger could be a great intro to the hobby.  I'll look her up.

Ginger is a total hottie.... She'll take great care.  As a provider, my suggestion is to allow her to screen you as she requests.  Everyone has discretion at the top of their priority list; anonymity is not the same thing as "discreet".  Being anonomous in the newbie screening is pretty much not part of the deal with quality providers.  Does my statement make sense? Well, that's my opinion!

Anyway, Ginger is a stellar lady ...you can trust her screening method. I hope you reach out to her.

Best to you!!  Ohhhhh how fun and fulfilling the hobby is, and should be!!  YES!

Thanks Krista.  I do understand your point & realistically can appreciate the screening process.  I'll reach out to Ginger.  I looked her up...definitely my kind of lady.

I am also newbie friendly, and screening is about making me feel comfortable. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that whatever risk you assume is outweighed by the risk she does. My process is more involved than some, less so than others but is what I need to feel comfortable meeting a stranger in an intimate setting. To give an example, a man contacted me a couple months ago with just a name and phone number. My newbie process includes employment verification, typically in the form of an email from their work address. He said "oh, I don't want to get work stuff involved but this is my real info." That's true, because I was able to google his name and phone number and FIND his work info, but I politely declined to see him. I'm not interested in sleuthing out info, I want to see gentlemen who understand that giving me the info I request upfront is what I need to feel safe. That's the second part of screening, it's not just to make sure your info checks out but that you are the type of person who understands the importance of giving it willingly.

My advice is to find a lady that you like who sees newbies and contact her via the method she asks for with the information she asks for. Doing so in advance of your desired meeting is likely to win major brownie points as well. Remember, we are people just like you. Kindness and respect of us and our time go a long way. Best of luck in your search!

Linked In should be of some help in the screening process !  Some gal's use this successfully !  Now if you are overly concerned about total privacy-well-then some other route !  Whatever gets you there !

It doesn't replace a work email or phone call but is a great supplement to that info.

Agreed, Ava!!  Another great response....
Guys... Please consider allowing select ladies to view your LinkedIn profile.  It's easy for you to do..
A reminder that quality ladies are more interested in safety than creating drama.  I mean, what quality lady has the time or motivation to compromise you??
My 2 sense... Or is it cents? :-)

VERY well said, pretty Ava!!

I think, ultimately, we all want to be safe, have fun, rinse and repeat ;-)

.....just move along.  Most have some screening required which starts on the low end with "send me a selfie so I can see if you look like LEO" to the extreme high end where you will find " I use no Third Party Screening services and I need enough info to file your taxes".  For myself I am somewhere in the middleand very NUB friendly,  but my instructions on my site  are very specific with the Disclaimer " No Negotiating on Screening"  but I still get the calls with (him) "Oh, yes I read the Contact instructions" "huh, no I can't tell you that".......... (me) "have a good day, then" CLICK, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm (that hmmmm is a dialtone)
If you want to see a particular Provider then don't ask her to compromise herself, her principles or business practices and her other Client's by caving to your demands, she is most likely operating within her comfort zone and we all have different boundaries.............."i aime à avaler tout", suzee

BTW most have a great deal of time and effort invested in their chosen Profession, it would be more likely that your personal info would be skimmed and missappropriated at the GasPump because you are too lazy to walk inside to swipe your Card than for me or any other of these Ladies to misuse your information (it is Career Suicide) or you can be lazy and take the low end way out. Anything worth having is worth working hard for.. ............."i aime à avaler tout", suzee

Yeah I just submitted screening info myself after a very long hiatus. Now I'm all excited lol. Like waiting on Christmas Morning
