I like what you posted, and agree in principle. All other things being equal, the party in office will probably loose if the markets take a sudden dip. I wonder if this would be an exception, because the unfavorables on Trump are based on some very basic factors, not just the rudeness and vagueness that the media seems to laugh at.
The other thing, you're absolutely right about the quantitative easing Yellen has been involved with, and the reluctance to raise interest rates--generally manipulating the rates in any way--but there has ALWAYS been some element of the economy that affected what should be the natural flow of interest. Rates now, left to whim, would not be that high, one could argue, because inflation is quite low and deflation is a more worrisome consideration. In general, if Trump and his White Nationalist pals gain more power we are going to move into some very undesirable times. I really don't believe any of us can see down the road what it will look like exactly, but to me it looks like the type of suppression I lived through back in the 50's. Of course it won't be a total blast from then past, but that and a few other things going on could make it very very ugly for almost everybody. Maybe you're one of the ones who feel you'll get through it. And it will probably come down harder on me than on most. But I don't think much of anyone would have a fun time.Donald Trump's speech today had the first coherent & significant language that he has spoken for more than a year, & of course we all know someone ells must have written it.
& if you are the Donald you have even less to work with under the haystack.
