Read the reviews on this site and go with well-reviewed providers.
When contacting said provider do not ask her anything that is already on her site [such as rates] and do not talk about specific acts - you can glean that from the reviews.
Nothing is 100% but do the above and that significantly decreases your chances of getting busted.

is a lot cheaper than the bail, fine and humiliation of getting busted. Do your research. It's really quite simple.

Even if you cannot peel off the $20 for the VIP membership that gives you ALL the details and further research tools; the sheer number of a providers reviews and aggregate of her scores given in the general membership will preempt the worry of her being an LE "sting" as well as give a cursory indication of her service level.

Media accounts of LE stings frequently state that they used CL to set them up, so best to avoid. And forget about the backpage ads...total crapshoot with no further info to go on...
Dragonfly is right. Avoid CL like the plague.
Get a VIP membership here, even if only for a month. It will prove to be well worth the $$$.
And then do your research, research, research. As a VIP you can private message other hobbyists in your area for additional info.
You always run the risk of uncle LEO, but if you go with a well-reviewed provider, the chances of you getting busted are very slim.
