Provider Assistants

I have come in contact recently with several ladies who use assistants to handle their calender, do their screening and take care of the business side of things for them. I can understand why ladiies choose use assistants, as I am sure it frees them up from alot of time consuming tasks. I have just preferred the interactions I have had with ladies directly prior to an appointment rather than with the assistant.

Do you guys feel the same way, or is it just me, and you don't care either way?

I am made very uncomfortable for example if I contact a provider whether through booking form email text or call and it is unclear whether a booker or "assistant" is responding or whether the provider is responding....

at ;east when I deal with my favorite agencies I know who I am talking too and can believe in their investment in security...   with assistants or bookers I am not always sure......

therefor I tend to avoid them when possible....

An example of a pair that IMHO do it correctly are Piper Richardson and her assistant Jaime. Jaime work with several ladies, but when I get an email from her it clearly says Assistant Jaime in the email vs. when I get an email from Piper it is a completely different email address.

I have worked with a couple of ladies and assistants through screening who utilized the same email. If the assistant didn't sign the email with her name, I would not know who was sending it, and I had to look at the end of the email before reading just to see who it was from.

I've considered hiring an assistant to help me with booking & scheduling since my life tends to be very busy between school and my vanilla job.

However, I have always wondered what gentlemen think when it comes to interaction with the personal assistant.

Honestly, I have a big trust issue, and even though I wouldn't mind having an assistant (at times) I have to be the one who is able to listen to my guy's requests, wants, and needs at a first-handed basis.

Thanks for posting this - Great topic.

I would never consider hiring an assistant because I want the interaction before an appointment. I never take an appointment by emails only. You have to talk to me. You can tell far more from a voice than just an email. Just my two cents :-)

I tend to get notices of schedule changes, etc, promptly.

One minor aspect of it that's not so good is that when I'm at the parking lot I would have a middle person to relay information which tends to delay the start a bit.
