I run two. And if you don't think a big, bloated, wasteful, corrupt, gigantic federal government is a strain on small business and the ability to hire, you REALLY have no clue.

So rather than me, being a conservative, set you straight, how 'bout I let someone on your side of the aisle do it:

Democrats love big government, we can all agree on that. But most liberals do not understand how that hurts the little guy and helps big corporations.
Let me explain. If you have two business making whatever, Gadgets let’s say. . A small business owner and a major corporation    Both have to jump through all the big government regulations, but the major corporation has  law firms in place a accounting firm in house and firms in house to deal with OSHA and the EPA , and all the other government road blocks. . But the little guy has to get this done also. But at a much higher percentage of business costs. So his gadgets cost more and he cannot compete on price or labor so he goes under. The major corporations get bigger. We all know that the small business owner is the growth engine of America and it has been taken away by big Government. But yet the Democrats keep piling on more regulations and tell the people they are working for them. But in reality they are working for the big corporations and lobbyists that pay them.     We all have seen government regulations grow at an unprecedented rate over the last eight years. And the economy that is growing a two percent. This will not change until the regulations are taken away

and stupid people will never will.

but I suppose it was worth saying.

...as you can tell by WB's completely ignorant answer.

It really is amazing how clueless some are.

And what kind of a disadvantage would the little businessman be at if big casino and little casino could pollute the air, water and soil and cripple all the employees they want?

A lot of people buy that line of thought, and blame big government for their failures...but for some reason their arguments never make much sense.

are imposed by state and local governments, not the federal government.

Congress steps in to regulate only where it deems a national policy is required. And most federal regulation excludes really small businesses from coverage. In every regulatory category that I can think of, the federal government simply sets the floor – the states set the ceiling. There are state OSHA regs just as there are federal; state environmental regs just as there are federal; state emission standards as well as federal.  But there are many, many state regs that have no federal counterpart. If you want to drill in Texas, you talk to the State Railroad Commission and county first, not the EPA. You want to cut hair- you need a state license. Get a concealed carry permit to use on the job- go to the state. Try selling Teslas in Texas and see who comes down on you.

And this is true in red and blue states.  I’d guess there are more federal regulations than state  for big business, not small.  So, while no one disputes that fed regulations make small business operation more expensive,  your ire is a bit misdirected here Buddy

I was responding to WB who was clearly talking about FEDERAL regulations. Believe me, I am well aware of state and local regulations as well being a hindrance to hiring as I hire people and you don't.

If you read the posts I respond to, as well as my actual responses, I swear your comprehension of my point will increase by a factor of 10. LOL

...These days "widget" has been usurped by the tech world.  Fucking fuckers!  Aaaaahhh, now I feel better.

Small companies make 1k and a much higher price point in Boise. Guess who the customer is buying from?? See Walmart. Big corporation then gobble up the small companies, that's just the way it is...So don't blame Big Government.... I live this ordeal every day.
