I didn't even bother going there as the chances of getting rid of the three hundred million guns in private hands is such an impossible task there didn't seem to be any need to talk about an armed Government and an unarmed populace, but it too is a factor.

At least some people take a class.  But the reality is there are about as many guns in this country as there are people.  And it's easier to get a gun illegally than legally. Personally, I'd love it if all guns were sucked off the streets tonight.  But it ain't gonna happen.

I'd even give up my guns to make it happen, but I am not giving up mine until someone can give me proof they have gotten the other 300 million plus guns that are already out there.

I don't see Hillary Clinton or Barrack Obama giving up their Secret Service details. When the streets are safe enough for them to give up their armed details, I will take it as a sign that I can give up my equally lawful guns as well.

To think that all the armed services of the U.S. would follow the dictates of a tyrant to the letter, and slaughter innocent civilians against a just overthrow attempt, is beyond moronic and it would prove that that person who held those beliefs hasn't never cracked a history book.

versus 20, 30, 40 or 50 years ago? The murder rate was 10.2 per 100K in 1980, and dropped to 4.5 in 2014. The number of guns has increased to over 300M. Is there a direct correlation, better policing, a kinder gentler populace, who the hell knows. Nevertheless, we do live in a safer environment.

    Never in my life have I heard it's  easier to buy a gun illegally than legally, until you came up with that malarkey.
  I've seen numerous illegal activities in my travels, I've never had someone attempt to sell me an illegal weapon.    
  On the other hand, perhaps you omitted pertinent details.
   
    A scenarios in America where it would be easier to buy an illegal gun than a legal one, if the purchaser does not have an ID, and he lives in Skid Row City.  
  In other words, in less than 1% of America it's difficult to buy a legal gun.  

  I can only wonder if you post nonsense to see if anyone will notice or you are truly delusional.
