Can someone help me with a list of great food places to eat in San Jose and San Francisco.
I will love you forever!

check out their 100 best restaurants in SF and surrounding areas and their "Cheap Eats".   "SFGate" is pretty much the same website. Too, too many places to choose from in the Bay Area.............

There was a thread last month about where to eat in San Francisco.

This one can be added to the list

In San Jose: Nothing to recommend!

Thank you guys :-) hopefully I'll catch you guys at some of these places

The San Jose area (e.g. south bay area) has a ton of highly rated and Michelin rated restaurants.

Chez TJ (Mountain View), Le Papillon (San Jose), The Plumed Horse (Los Gatos), LB Steak (Santana Row), Le Foret, The Grill on the Alley (SJ Fairmont), KrungThai are just a few of the Michelin rated restaurants in the south bay.

I've patronized all of the above and can recommend them highly.
The list is pretty long - consult a Michelin Guide or Zagat to find more.

My remark about San Jose got some recommendations. LOL It seems like the "SF" providers often stay in the South Bay but want to eat in San Francisco.

It was a pretty pedestrian steakhouse, from what i remembered.

The Plumed Horse is okay.  Their tableside-made Caesar salad was good.

Honestly, I think the South Bay is just meh for food, while you have a ton of choices in SF.
