Been in the scene only fairly recently and with only a couple of providers.  Seems like a dumb question, but any advice on staying std free?  No BBBJ correct?

Then don't engage in the hobby.

Having said that, I have had several hundred encounters with providers over the past 10 years, most of the time uncovered oral...and I have never caught anything.

A few things to consider:
1. Escorts in general practice safer sex than regular people dating in the non pay for play world.
2. There has never been a single documented case of HIV transmission from female to male unprotected oral sex.
3. It's possible to get herpes, gonorrhea, & chlamydia from unprotected oral, but it is very rare, and in most cases you would notice if an escort has symptoms of these diseases.

Always wear a condom for intercourse.

All of this information is readily available on the internet. Google is your friend. Take that info and make your own decision

I have been in this hobby for about 2-3 yrs now.  I've had several close calls and had myself tested multiple times for all STD's.  Everything coming back negative (knock on wood).
One thing they don't test for is the Human papilloma virus aka HPV.
This virus has been known to cause cancer in uterus and pharynx/ oral cavity.   And is in fact transmitted by oral sex and kissing.
Like one poster stated, if you want to avoid risk, don't hobby.  If you really want to avoid std, don't kiss and no bbbj or daty.
If you follow that advice, you're more likely to catch something on the metro more than the hobby.
