Don't under estimate the value of it. Trust me the money spent every month is well worth the investment. Research, Research, Research. Of course don't forget to post reviews to contribute back to the community.

I'm a newbie looking to make a few new friends.  I know the DC area is a hotbed for LE and STDs but I am STD free (would REALLY appreciate any new friends who are the same) and just want to have fun.

I have been playing here playing here since 07. Always use a condom, have never used a dental dam, have my immunizations (Hep B and Hep C) and get checked twice a year. Have been with well over 100 providers and Civies. So far so good.

What are these rumors about STDs in the DC area hobby scene. Maybe I have overlooked them. Now that you brought the topic up. Tell us about it.

I guess it's just me reading up on the DMV having a high HIV and Herpes rate.  I know it's rude to ask up front but there is always that possibility of the condom slipping off or breaking. Just want to have fun and be safe at the same time.  I have also heard some providers use lamb skin condoms, which do not protect very well.

I got checked by a doctor at Medstar in February.  Had went to Irving's in Capitol Heights two weeks prior but only licked and sucked stripper's breast for a brief moment (she put it in my face).  Test came back negative for everything.  However, I have been provider-less for almost a year.

It really seems that you should find a different way to occupy your time.

I have been hobbying in DC for over 10 hears, and have never been given a lamb skin condom. Why would a provider pay more money for something that is going to protect her less.

Stay away from street walkers, only see reputable ladies, and you should be fine. I say should as you clearly don't seem to have a lot of common sense, or understand how to do your research properly.

I know I shouldn't even ask, but what did you think you were going to catch from licking strippers breasr?

Maybe wear a rubber suit next time you see a provider.

Found out 10yrs ago when I was off the college the sterotype by seeing this map on Facebook. Maryland is know for blacks and aids...and b-more down to DC is the bad part of Maryland.

If you go to Washington or Oragon, you might get bent over by a homeless dog

Every major city in the US has a high aids and STD rate among its lower income populations. With low income usually comes limited access to medical care as well as access to preventative measures. How often do you see a heroin addict walk into the Walgreens to buy needles? Baltimore and DC may have high HIV/Aids populations based on national averages but that does not apply our hobby community.

Only one time I have been offered bare back, and I declined. Nowadays, the choice I am offered is if I am OK with the provider using a female condom.

Yes, there have been times when the condom slipped or broke. No need to panic. Unless you have a cut or abrasion on your cock, there is almost nothing to worry about. As the matter of fact, the provider is in way more danger of getting something from you than the other way around.

Just play it safe by avoiding low end (Cheap) providers from backpage or CV. Always bring condoms with you (as a backup), no streetwalkers or truck stop lizards, get checked regularly, stay updated with your immunizations and you will be just fine.

the most comprehensive, on target, common sense post I have read in years.

Kudos to you sir.

Lots of providers offer that. Some are even licensed therapists. I think there is minimal/no risk associated with FBSM -- and then you get a massage, too!

The other issue should not be a problem for you as long as you are smart, discreet, and discriminating...and you see providers who are also smart, discreet, and discriminating.

Like anything else in life, you get what you pay for, right? Have fun!
