There are red light zones in cities, including one in Geneva between the train station and the lake. There seems to be some sort of regulation on locations, but you have red light districts in close proximity to expensive hotels and restaurants. There are also brothels. Because it is legal, they can advertise normally.
Most of the women are not Swiss; they are from Eastern Europe or Africa for the most part on the streets and Eastern Europe, Spain, or Latin America in the brothels.
Because it is legal and girls can come from anywhere, competition is fierce, the prices are low (especially considering the price of everything else in Switzerland). The scene is kind of downscale if not completely sleazy. The streetwalkers are obvious and can be kind of aggressive; passing men might get offers like "100 francs, suck and fuck" and one in Geneva grabbed my hand and shoved it under her miniskirt so that I could feel her bare crotch. Legally, only Swiss or EU residents can register as prostitutes, but most apparently don't register and the cops are more interested in handing out tickets for jaywalking and walking on the grass in parks (yes, really).
I am sure there is more upscale escorting somewhere, with appropriately Swiss pricing (most things there cost about twice as much as in the U.S.). Given the number of very rich people at least in Geneva, I expect there are some very expensive courtesans, but I can't help you with those.
