The mass shooting phenomena started in '66 with the Charles Whitman killings on the University of Texas, where 16 were killed. Is the year 1966 a clue ? You tell me.

This country has been very well armed since it's inception. Mass murders are a relatively recent phenomenon.
If it's the gun that's at fault, or the NRA that's at fault, how do explain generation after generation of law abiding gun owners not picking up their weapons to slaughter each other en masse?
