Hemingway pointed out that there is an important element of the human spirit known as "grace under pressure", or courage.  It is the ability to take what life throws at you, smile, and say "is that all you've got?".  A wise man once told me that a person's character only truly begins to be tested when things go wrong.  As that is when we find out if we (and the people close to us) have "grace under pressure".

Well, I intentionally and unintentionally threw many things at Nina this week and she impressed me tremendously.  The intentional part was a fairly elaborate role-play I wanted her to help me realize.  It had a complex story - one that I would definitely put in the "advanced" role-play category.   And she brought the character to life better than I ever imagined which made the whole experience unforgettable and intensely erotic.

The unintentional part (of what was thrown Nina's way) was that my car decided to have a temper tantrum shortly before said date.  Everything worked out in the end, but it was touch and go for a while whether we would be able to have our date at all.  But through our texts back and forth Nina's understanding, patience, and compassion shone through.  Her little messages were an encouragement to me during a troubling day - as well as a confirmation that I had chosen the right person to spend my valuable time with.

Nina's professionalism in the realization of the role-play and the way she handled my scheduling anxieties in real time turned a pretty crappy day into an amazing adventure I will always remember.  We sometimes talk about particular qualities that make us keep seeing the ladies we do - this is a prime example.  When a lady tells you everything is going to be ok when your day is falling apart, greets you at the door with a big smile and is genuinely excited to see you and fulfill your special fantasy, and makes that fantasy hotter than you ever thought it could be - that's pretty fucking epic.

Now that's grace under pressure.
