Maybe Kristol is trying to push Trump to pick a neo-con like French for Trump's VP. But then again, Kristol also thought Sarah Palin was a huge political talent and promoted her to be McCain's running mate.

Is it because Kasich will somehow moderate Trump's off-the-wall comments, which by the way are scripted by his team of writers? Is it because Kasich will put some clarity to Trump's positions? That's the last thing Trump wants to do. Is it because the past X number of elections came down to Ohio and/or Florida? Would Kasich, or other mainstream Republican help him bolster the base? To steal a modified line from Blazing Saddles, "I don't need no stinking base". Trump's got a new coalition of voters that blur the red/blue divide.
Seems everyone is forgetting this is a competition, a game. All Trump has to do is beat Clinton. I can't remember, but what is Clinton's campaign slogan again?
