No joke here. And no argument either this time, as we're on the same side of this argument. eom

... to distract the public from what's really going on... which is the slow painful slide into Civil War. It's already started, but as with anything complex, it takes time to percolate simmer and explode.

We've been percolating for a few years...and now we are beginning to simmer.

But seeing as how i'm so disillusioned, I seriously don't give a fuck anymore who wins or loses the election. The people and the America my parents knew and I was raised in has already lost.

U.S. has been in a "cold civil war" for 30 years.

Looks like it's about to heat up

And we really didn't come that close.  What's happening now is weak compared to that.  This country has been under social pressure since it was founded.

should find it ludicrous that we are on the verge of civil war today.

The major change is that between social media and 24/7 news broadcasts it's all in our face everyday now. Vietnam was the first war that ended up in our living room every night. Can you imagine if either World War had happened during the internet age?

If LTM had been born before the internet age, no one would have had to listen to his caterwauling except for the poor handful of people within earshot. I suppose it's the price we have to pay for progress
