Your assertion makes some sense, tiger.  Only point is, how do we get through the "crap shoot" of finding the RIGHT ones.  The standard answer would be the reviews, however I find most younger providers to be highly YMMV.  So the reviews may not offer as much benefit.

Has anyone else notice the older providers are increasing their rates from 250 to 300 ? I'm finding  new talents for less and some are better.

yeh so whats your point?a tirade on older women?i guess im wonderin, so what?

I have noticed a slight raise in providers rates. Gas prices have gone up from last year. The price for a porterhouse has increased. And even movie tickets are prices are getting up there. It's just natural inflation and we all have to deal with it in anything nowadays.

Don't even mention Real Estate price's, Jesus Christ! A shack in the DC area now cost $350K and up, annual taxes, $3K and up!

I have the same observation too.  Older providers were once young and have chosen this biz their career. They have established in the biz with a regular client base and know they can charge more. Younger providers are just breaking in into the biz and don't know they can charge more.  But once they learn the biz, they know what to charge but then they are no longer young anymore.  So the best value for the hobbiests are to find these new young providers.
