It is a dreadful list of Federalist Society members

This list alone in & of itself should make any one of those "Bernie or Bust" people open up their wallets for the Hillary Clinton campaign as well as want to RUN to the polls in Nov to vote for her.....If Ted Cruz were the nominee he couldn't have picked anyone further to the right than these people....

Then again, the Scalia seat, if this were normal times would be Obama's to fill....But when you have the deep sense of entitlement the right does RE: judicial nominations, that is why were seeing this utter foolishness that's been going on with the open seat.....And no, if the roles were reversed, Democrats would NOT be blocking this seat...It's not in their DNA....They WOULD force a Republican President who was dealing w/a Democratic controlled senate to come up with a moderate nominee....That's exactly what Obama did, Democratic President - GOP controlled senate = Merrick Garland, probably the most consensus nominee alive today..

...show his conservative bona fides.  Do you think he ever even heard of any of these people or is someone pulling his strings and feeding him the names?

Whoever gave him the list may want to double check it.  One name on the list, Texas Supreme Court Justice Don Willett has mocked Trump since the day he announced his candidacy.  I can't believe people are actually taking Trump seriously.

That he would seek advice and guidance from the, conservative and well respected, Heritage Foundation regarding possible SC choices.

Do you really think oboma knew of or who Kagan or Sotomayor were before someone smarter than him (which does not take much) put the names under his nose?

That said, it a huge mistake IMO for the GOP to be doing this, they got as good a pick as they are gong to get, they should take it.

I also agree that Trump is blowing it by not putting a single person of color at least on the fucking list, he doesn't have to name any of these people, assuming (giant assumption) that he wins in the fall. He should at least make the gesture that he would consider someone Black, Latino or Buddha forbid, Asian. for the Court.

I refuse to believe that Trump is dumb enough to follow the failed playbook of pandering to the right AFTER locking up the nomination. I am hoping that this is simply a head fake to get the GOP into some kind of unity up through the convention and then he can make his stretch run, but "IF" he is following the Romney, McCain strategy of trying to "rally the base" he's doomed. That kind of strategy "might" have worked for a "real" conservative like Cruz, or Bush who won with it, but Trump is no more a real conservative than either Romney or McCain, even less to be honest and if he goes down this road Hillary might as well start picking out new furniture for the White House.

is about the funniest thing I've ever read on this board.

As Erik Erikson says:  "Every single thing Donald Trump says, everything, comes with an expiration date. Usually that expiration date comes in the next clause of the same sentence. Sometimes it comes at the end of the day."

I laugh my ass off when people on this board try to claim what Trump will do if elected president. On what possible basis or foundation do they rest their beliefs?  ;)
