This is from Clinton's 1968 State of the Union address.
A striking comparison to what Trump has been saying about the subject:
Wasn't LBJ the Dem prez who brought us Vietnam? Thanks LBJ and Dems.

Eom.
Brian Cranston looks just like him. Scary.
...during the Eisenhower Administration. JFK ramped things up and LBJ did also with the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution and the Tet Offensive.
History isn't your strong suit, is it? You better stick to the Third Reich, Erwin.
By listing it the way you did, you make it seem as if Tet was an offensive ordered by LBJ. In fact, it was a surprise attack across all of Viet Nam by the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese Army. It proved that LBJ's posturing about winning the war was wrong.
Wrong again great historian. After JFK (end of 1963) there were 16,300 U.S. military advisors, after LBJ (1968) the troop count was 536,100. You're also wrong about Tet. Your genius is astonishing.
