Suggestion and Policy
Running from TER; fake pictures, names and numbers!!!
It seems to me that providers are developing ways of getting around TER's great database by changing their names, numbers, email contact, etc, etc.
We have to rely on the community's collective memory to stay away from the professional bait-and-switch artists who provide medocre service at best and continue to prey on the un-suspecting customer.
Is there anyway that TER can help us out with this? One idea is to provide a URL to an ad or picture when you fill out a review. Before the URL goes bad, is changed, or removed, a copy could be made to a picture server and forever associated to that review.
I realize the TER staff is already over-worked. I am will to bet that if you add just one more step to the review process that members would be willing to step up and take responsibilty for making sure a picture is saved permanently.
It only helps TER and the members in the long run.
any thoughts??
