I can understand your concern. But you needn't worry. As in every occupation, professionals are professionals, and that goes for providers as well. If they know their job [and highly rated providers do, rest assured] they will treat you with utmost deference, courtesy...and yes, passion and reckless erotic abandonment, since it's in their job description [and in the reviews]!

What is important in an encounter is not the client's appearance, but how he treats the provider. Here, the Golden Rule really applies. Naturally, if he is dirty, smelly and has bad breath, the provider will probably not be able to render good service, since physical contact is of essence.

But...outside of the basic hygiene issue, if he is a kind and sincere person and shows respect for the provider - believe me, he will become her favorite client on the spot. Looks mean nothing, rest assured.

So you just go ahead and continue being the "quintessentially" nice guy you are, both in this and the other world - mind you, it is the same world we finally find ourselves in, as far as relating to human beings is concerned. And that's what's important - be nice, and the world will be nice back.

It doesn't matter what you look like but WHO you are.

If you're kind, respectful and courteous, you'll stand out in a positive way.
IF you should have the sly wit and sense of humor  John Goodman has, you'll go far, very far.

Having "game" will open doors and get you laid a lot more repeatedly than being smart or attractive if you're a male.

All those really superficial things that might prevent you from getting laid in the 'normal' world really don't count here.

You'll be receiving a professional service.  As with any profession, pay for it and you'll get it. How you look absolutely will not matter at all.

But, as others have well said, what will matter is that you show respect for your professional provider as a woman, and as a human person.

And, if you think hard about it, you should find deep respect very easy to feel. After all, her job, overcoming all those 'normal' social barriers, surely is not always easy for her.

And, as she succeeds, much of society scorns her, and looks down upon her.  So she is exhibiting a lot of rare independent thinking, spunk and courage.

Just as your provider is overcoming social 'norms', you must battle them, too, and understand, deep in your soul, that your provider is to be greatly admired.  

Feel and acknowledge that admiration, and you'll have absolutely no problem, and your fear will disappear.

You are about to enjoy a brief relationship, during which both parties are agreeing, despite all 'normal' social standards, to touch and love one another. Both of you are to be honored and respected for what you have decided and are about to do.

I believe that, if you understand this, you will become a better man,  and a deservedly more confident one.

What LG and everyone else says is paramount.  But if I may suggest the following: 1. Everyone of us, at some level, fears rejection and feels inadequate about something in our appearance or performance or skills. You are not alone. 2. Own up to your feelings, lightly with humor: take some breaths, relax, smile, and tell your provider something like "I feel a little awkward, I'm a big man, I hope I can still please you without crushing you." It will relax you and give her the chance to put you at ease.  3.  For a first time, I would choose a provider who is experienced, more mature ("MILF") because with life experience, usually, comes emotional maturity and acceptance of others' 'imperfections.'  4. All women have had to deal with societal norms of "beauty" and can empathize with your feelings, especially  providers who must work hard at being "attractive".  Consider choosing a provider who is not "DDG" model good looking, instead find one who is taller than average, perhaps a "BBW" or "curvy" woman.  And most of all, relax, enjoy, and know that with time and experience will come confidence - which most women find to be very attractive.
