So, who do you think "their man" could be? Romney, Ryan...

Paul Ryan has already announced he's not interested in running for POTUS. I just cannot see how the establishment could deny Trump or Cruz the nomination and hand it to someone else. Trump and Cruz have both amassed almost 80 percent of the total delegates and popular vote totals between them. The GOP convention nomination fight will be epic!

I really can't imagine the GOP establishment really backing Cruz as they hate him at least as much as Trump, I think they see him as the only way to deny Trump the 1237 delegates he needs, keeping hopes alive to get "their" man in.

Clinton's super PAC would have a field day with all the videos of Ted Cruz's father talking all sorts of crazy shit. I honestly don't get how people can think that Trump could be even a tenth as scary as Cruz. Cruz is the one that wants to "carpet bomb" ISIS in Iraq, not Trump.

Does anyone really believe that Trump is going to make social conservatism like revisiting Gay Marriage and abortion a priority if elected? We KNOW Cruz will want to squander his entire Presidency refighting these issues if elected.

..........and this is the guy the GOP establishment is throwing their support behind. WTF are they smoking? Clinton and the Democrats must be salivating that Cruz may actually be picked as the GOP nominee. Imagine this religious nutbag in the White House, I shudder to even think this. Cruz's morality police force would make chastity belts mandatory, TER and all adult hobby sites would be banned. Online Porn banned, skimpy swim outfits banned, sex toys banned, Cruz would probably use the Patriot Act to go after online cam shows and text messages that show "adults" sending pics to each other.

As the elder Cruz explained, Ted and his family “spent six months in prayer” trying to decide if he should seek the presidency, which culminated in a two-hour prayer session at his church where his family and top advisers “spent two hours on our knees seeking God’s will about this decision.”

During that prayer session, Cruz’s wife received “inspiration from God” and told Ted to “seek God’s face, not God’s hand” and, at that moment, the Holy Spirit descended upon everyone in the room and convinced Ted to run.

“It was as if there was a presence of the Holy Spirit in the room and we all were at awe,” Cruz stated, “and Ted, all that came out of his mouth, he said, ‘Here am I Lord, use me. Here am I Lord, I surrender to whatever Your will for my life is.’ And it was at that time that he felt a peace about running for president of the United States.”

Ryan is smart enough to simply wait until 2020 and won't take the bait. If it's Bush, Rubio or Romney, it will be a contest between the Trump supporters and the Cruz supporters as to who gets to burn Cleveland to the ground.

Kasich is the last hope for the establishment, although I doubt he has a  "big enough personality" to pull the party together after four out of five GOP voters who voted in the primaries will have voted for someone other than him.

but in this election cycle where all the front runners have such high negative numbers, that might just be enough this time.

Bernie inspires the young and lazy, Hillary inspires the old women, Cruz inspires the Christian nut jobs, Trump inspires the disenfranchised and angry non Christian nut jobs on the right and who does Kasich inspire? The Republican establishment trying desperately to hold onto power and remain relevant, that's who.
