Let's watch and see if this flaccid Congress passes the 9/11 bill. I fully expect Trump to take up the call and excoriate Washington politicians, if they do not support it. This is one more reason why voters are mad as hell with politicians in both parties. Screw the Saudi's and pass this bill ASAP.

CNN)Saudi Arabia is warning it will sell off billions in American assets if the U.S. Congress passes a bipartisan bill that would allow victims of 9/11 and other terrorist attacks to sue foreign governments.
Saudi foreign minister Adel al-Jubeir issued the warning to U.S. lawmakers last month during a visit to Washington, two senior State Department officials told CNN. A source with knowledge of the Saudis' thinking said investments would be put in jeopardy if this bill passes, so they are trying to protect themselves from risk.

The story was first reported Saturday by The New York Times.
The Obama administration has, in turn, applied heavy pressure on Congress to block the bill. Top officials from the State Department and Pentagon warned Senate Armed Services Committee staffers last month that the bill could bring economic risks to the U.S.

The White House had no comment Saturday and the Saudis did not immediately respond to a request for comment. But in February, Secretary of State John Kerry said the legislation could "expose the United States of America to lawsuits and take away our sovereign immunity and create a terrible precedent."

by President Obama, or President Hillary (although she won’t admit that right before the New York primary). Besides the reporting on this bill has been terrible – you can already sue foreign countries for terrorism and noncommercial torts. In fact, Iran has already been found liable for 9/11. This bill lowers the bar for such recovery by adding aiding and abetting and conspiracy liability and a few other tweaks.It is designed to give the inept 9/11 attorneys a third bite of the apple.

       But if some low level Saudi employee really did help the 9/11 hijackers, should the government of Saudi Arabia be held liable for zillions of dollars? I don’t think so – you need evidence of government directed policy, which they will never prove here. This bill is just Chuck Schumer pandering to his base.
       And do you really want retaliatory legislation in Pakistan allowing the many innocent victims of the US drone strikes to sue President Obama and every drone pilot in Las Vegas?

          Maybe you should rethink this one

If they had nothing to do with 9/11 and thus wouldn't lose, they wouldn't care. They'd only care if they were one of the main funders of  the 9/11 attackers. Therefore, I say screw 'em.  First, their money is pegged to the US Dollar.  Go ahead and play, Mr. King; the U.S. is far bigger than you are and you'll be the one that gets blown up economically, not us

let's arrange for more in-person meetings with Allah

it's a GREAT use for our tax dollars

what do you expect from a group that sees infanticide for convenience a human right

bigguy represents the violent, immoral lib ideology.  we all know that he's profoundly ignorant.  now we know that he is ok with hurting people
