That's probably true, and Ryan's smarter than your average Republican.

But even being on the ticket, win or lose, carries wright.

He may be on to something here. He has some good reasoning. However, there's a variable, or two, in the mix, that he has failed to consider. Not only have people voted for Trump and Cruz, they've given money to help them win the nomination. That can be a major disincentive for those same people, when it comes to giving money to a Kasich/Rubio ticket, which the mantra of 'beating Hillary is the most important thing,' or matters regarding the Supreme Court, might not be able to sufficiently correct for. Plus, the delegates who do support Trump or Cruz on the second or third ballot may not be all that willing to go along with that ticket.

It is proly their best all around ticket, not factoring in its an outsiders year and that ticket would defeat Hills soundly imo.

But its also about bringing in the outsider vote so I think Cruz would have to be on the ticket, if Trump falls short of the nomination.

I am going with Kasich/Cruz as my prediction.

Though, perhaps the Kasich/Rubio may be the better polling ticket. Of course polls don't reflect conditions like voter turn out, and voter disenfranchisement.

This guy has no more credibility than Choosy who told everyone last cycle that they had to nominate Romney, and look how well that worked out.

Two establishment candidates on the same ticket in an environment where political insiders are despised is a ridiculous strategy and will only serve to keep Rubio relevant to the process in order to make another bid in 2020. They might as well simply skip the GE and inaugurate Clinton now.

The Republican Candidates are making themselves and the entire GOP look like idiots!

.......Ohio, Minnesota and Puerto Rico. Yea, this ticket should work extremely well if these two are anointed...lol

but I still agree with your point. Two guys, one of whom could only win his home state, the other who couldn't even do that are the best the GOP can muster???

I've said it before and I will say it again, the ONLY candidate they have with even a slim chance of beating Hilary is Trump, If it's not Trump, all the Bernie votes AND all the Trump votes either go to Hillary or stay home, either way it's a cakewalk for Hillary.

Winning "states" will not get you the nomination!  Winning 50% +1 of the delegates, is how you get the nomination.

......by establishment cronies in both parties. So, I ask, why even bother voting

Of course if Bernie only loses because of the Super Delegates, which is not likely, but possible, Maybe the two voter "fuckings" would cancel each other out?

As it stands, Hillary should be the beneficiary of both the GOP primary voters feeling disenfranchised AND the voters who voted for a GOP majority in Congress feeling completely fucked which is a big part of why a Trump and a Cruz have done so well in the first place. Except for the die hard GOP voters, the rest of the GOP voters are going to give a giant FUCK YOU!!! to the establishment and it's quite likely that Hillary wins every single electoral vote.

But...Rubio makes more sense. I detest Rubio for personal reasons, so it's hard for me to visualize him having any success in any endeavor. And I don't think the RNC can cleanly take the general. If Trump runs a strong third, it could divide the vote with everyone getting less than a half. Then Congress would call it, and it would just shoe TOO much corrupt hubris for the Speaker to hand himself a Vice President position.
