...is obtaining them. I've ordered directly from drug store as I don't think they are stocked locally any longer. I always broach the topic in advance with my existing friends either in person (for the next visit) or via email. I've never just shown up with them with the presumption that we'd use them. It's a sensitive subject, obviously. I've never initiated the subject with a new friend. One of my best friends said she'd never consider using them on the first date(s) because of the huge amount of trust involved. Her input was that it was too easy for the guy to "slip in" between her and the cover, especially from behind. Another downside is that the insertion can be awkward from both a physical and viewing perspective. But with a good friend, that can all be fun foreplay. Turn the negative to a positive! All that being said, we use them most of the time! Besides hanging out at my doctor's office to get tested often, I have my map of DC clinics that do same day STD and HIV testing. They have condoms, lube, and FC's free for the taking. I have great convos with the staff there and they usually give me a grocery bag full! The life span of a FC is about 3-5 years, and yes, it is easier to insert with a toy during foreplay.
