One problem with what you stated

HRC leads Sanders by over 2 million in the popular vote so far. OTOH, when it comes to the GOP,I see your point.

Keep in mind the U.S. isn't an Athenian democracy, but a REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY. If you're running for one of the 2 major parties as a POTUS candidate, & the parties don't like you, you're shit outta luck.

If the Sanders & Trump voters don't like that, both of their candidates should have run as independents. Good luck with that.

This is what, the GOP party does and believes in voter suppression.
It's not about democracy with them, but only power and control.
If they don't like something, they try and changed the rules!
So have you forgotten about the GOP house redistricting or the 2000 Presidential election?
They are not a political party for the American people, but themselves.

of this flat out slap in the face of the American public. It is a complete disregard of the substance and spirit of the democratic election process. It makes a complete mockery of one person one vote.

It's the slippery slope you hear so much about. Ted Cruz and the RNC have just rolled up a snowball and let it go down a very steep hill.

The Democrats aren't much better with their slimy Super-delegate bullshit countermanding the votes of the Democrats which are increasingly going for the Bern, and yet somehow, miraculously, HILLARY still winds up with the advantage in delegates.

And the media reports it like its business as usual and oh look, this will prevent Donald Trumps ascension!

Like that's the most important problem we have. The events that have unfurled since the mainstream GOP lost their poster boy Marco have been nothing less than a warning to all of us we are about to lose our last vestige of Democracy if we allow the elites to continue to change the rules in the middle of the game.

They've made it clear that my vote no longer counts. Neither does yours. Or anyone else's on this board (except Elliot Spitzer who somehow is still a Super-Delegate in New York - WTG #8!)

Merely bitching and moaning and whining about how bad they are and oh look at what they've done isn't going to do diddly squat. Sitting back and saying or doing nothing is even worse.

I do not know what the solution is other than a complete reboot.
But unlike a computer or movie franchise, this one isn't so easy.
And its probably too late, sad to say.

I don't think we are quite there yet, but it does look like we are getting close and that's what it will take to do something about our current two party system.

The problem I see is if we actually do scrap our current two party system, we will need to scrap the electoral college as well as with even three different tickets, all with a decent amount of support, it could prove impossible for anyone to ever win the 270 votes necessary to win. This would not only apply to the Presidential elections, but to Congress as well. Virtually all legislation requires at least a majority to pass, with the exception of the way Obama has managed to manipulate the system of late, with nary a peep from the GOP establishment of course. but this could be very problematic if a third party actually gets any traction, maybe I would get my wish and NOTHING would get done. lol

... besides, with Super-delegate Democrats, and party elite Republicans running the show from the back rooms what does it fucking matter?

Nothing gets done around Congress these days anyway.
When they're not busy stumping for money for re-electing themselves, they're in fucking court defending themselves o_O

We need a good old fashioned down and dirty revolution.

Say what you will about Paul Ryan, he's definitely young, talented and articulate.

If I remember correctly, President Obama came out of the shadows with the same resume, running against  destined to win, tired, old, corrupt, evil, corporate crony, professional politicians.

Take your pick of either of the two  candidates Obama had to win against to become President.
Both Romney and Hillary fit the above description depending which channel you tuned in.

Only die hard Hillary supporters would disagree, she wears quickly on everyone.

I couldn't help but notice as campaigns drag on and Hillary gains more exposure  as the lying, cheating, evil war monger she is, her popularity falls dramatically.

With almost seven months to go so much not anticipated could happen.
Has anyone counted Hillary's absentee ballots and  checked for illegal or legally dead voters ?

Whether influenced by the FBI or her own ill health I continue to believe  Hillary will fall on her face before election day.

I'm joking about Paul Ryan for President 2016 though at 100-1  odds I'd put ten  bucks on him.

I'll continue to maintain my philosophy, anyone but Hillary or Cruz campaign.

IMO it's business as usual, other than the fact, more voters are aware this year.

I'm certainly not outraged by the stacked deck against Bernie with Hillary's commandos  controlling  super delegates.  I find that hilarious.
I'm LMAO at  damage the Democrat party will find, since 80% of Bernie supporters are young. They will hold no loyalty to any political faction after this election.

A large majority of  GOP and Democrat leaders in Congress are old and tired.

Why would anyone on the left feel outrage because of the GOP in Colorado............other than our most vocal TER protestors, consumed with false outrage. :-D

You know as well as anyone paying attention, citizens don't choose our two party Presidential nominees  until  power brokers give us our choice.
That's a big reason why  GOP  leaders hate President Trump.

The nominating process on both sides has  been a stacked deck for as long as I remember.
Colorado is simply playing poker with all their cards showing.

In the interest of my  fair and balanced opinion, I'm also LMAO at damage soon to fall on the GOP leadership, because of their nominating shenanigans with Trump.

I suspect and hope  we are on a fast track to elimination of Democrat and Republican control of Congress.
I can't imagine a better outcome for our country than Independents becoming the major power.

On another positive  note,  your nemesis, the  losers quit,  failing, persnickety old fool, removed his posts from the last two days ?    :-

But it isn't in their best interest. I firmly believe that this will get Donald the votes he needs with all the publicity going on and news media collateral damage.  People are sick of the same old games and more than ever will distrust Cruz. Let him party on for his win because it's really a loss in the public's eyes.
