Who would you serenade with Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing"?

Who is you see when Tina Turner's "Private Dancer" comes on the radio?

and does still another come immediately to mind when you're doing a karaoke cover of Rick James's "Super Freak"?

Hey, I'm just trying to lighten the mood.  Board seems a bit tense lately.

.....pretty dated.....I'm not a young thing, but those songs remind me of elementary and middle school.....just saying...lol....ok one maybe high school.....  :)

They may have been released in our earlier years, but these are classics that will NEVER be dated. A song that puts you in the mood will live forever.

I like going deeper and slower rather than harder and faster. Learning Tantra and the sexual healing arts at present. Lillian West.

I tend to associate these songs more with ex-GFs than providers, so I got almost nothing.
"Super Freak" would have been Nicole/Nacole but that was years ago and it's no longer my thing,
"Sexual Healing" has retired & might still be married,
but I was never a Turner fan and I do not recall encountering a dancer/provider.

Now if I could change the thread so as to associate a 1980s songs with a provider, like "Crazy Train" playing when Chipper Jones used to bat for the Braves:

I would give Ilona, a much more recent provider encounter, the theme of "Hooked on Classics" by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Why? She's all of the best parts rolled into one smooth moment.

But that would be me jumping the thread... I'd never do that! Nope, not me. *next?*

OK so Ginger and Mongo are right but I'd like to add another Anyway you want it by Journey

What are the odds of that?

There's a girl I know that has a sex swing.  I'd say that's pretty freaky.  :-)

For someone I knew years ago, this was our theme song (see link).

But these days, I'm more of a BFE.

LOL

You are very welcome.

Yes, I'm a Boingo fan from way back.  That's a great song, but my favorite of theirs is "We close our eyes."  I love that song.

I always thought someone missed a great opportunity by not casting Danny Elfman as the Joker in one of the Batman films.  He just screams evil genius to me.  If you disagree, check out his "Little girls" video and tell me you're not creeped out.  Even  a little bit.

Or maybe that's just me.

LOL

I thought he was the guy who wrote that wonderful theme for the Keaton films that was then modified and used by (with additional music from Shirley Walker) in Batman the Animated Series.

You mean to say that the film music composer was in Oingo Boingo?
Kinda like Toto wrote Dune. Queen did Highlander, and Daft Punk did Tron Legacy?

Neat.

ga_kosh,

And I was under the impression you were a nerd.  ;-)

Yes, Danny Elfman is the lead singer for Oingo Boingo but pretty much is an evil genius (ok, maybe not actually evil) when it comes to scoring movies.
Tim Burton and Danny Elfman have had a longstanding relationship.
Elfman has scored (or at least had a hand in scoring) most of his films.
Batman
A nightmare before Christmas
Beetlejuice
Edward Scissorhands
etc.

PS: Elfman also did the Simpsons theme, Tales from the Crypt (Music for a darkened theatre) and many others.

"Being the smartest man in the room doesn't mean I know everything"

I could make up other excuses but the simple truth is I'm not much of an Oingo Boingo fan.

Thanks for the info.

You know I was just messing with you.
I wouldn't be a nerd if I didn't pretend to act like I know everything now and then.  ;-)
Feel free to school me anytime in the infinite number of things I don't know.
