I need to cover up a name on my body (I know, I see your judgemental looks, I feel the same way) I want to do something crazy but first what's your opinion..? My gf said small and girly. I won't tell you where it is..use your imagination :)

Because ultimately its about what you think is hot and how you present your most authentic self.

I just channel my sexiness and that's what attracts amazing gentlemen to me.

Some love ink, some say they have never liked ink before seeing mine, some admit they aren't into ink but that they are into my spirit....

You do you, however you see fit, and you will reap the rewards.

Make sure it is done by a well reviewed tattoo artist.
Make sure to post a pic after you get it.

Definitely turn on :)

As others have mentioned - it's worth it to spend the extra to get it done by a well respected shop and artist.  I've spent quite a few hours in a shop (my best friend for 18 years is a tattoo artist/shop owner), and the amount of people I've seen who regret their budget tattoos is significant.  It's something that's going to be on your body forever, and is worth it to shell out the extra bucks IMHO.

The key is to get it done right and to wear it like you own it.  I am ink free.  However there are some women I know that are fucking hot with significant work done - sleeve plus.  Then there are some women I know with very minimal ink however it does not work for them

You will not be able to please everyone.  So make sure you are happy with it and are proud to wear it.  That confidence and sexiness will show through.

before you have some iron wielding scratcher sling some ink on you consider having some tattoo removal!  In other words, don't hide a little damage with bigger damage, just fix it.

Some women look good with tattoos, most don't.  That's my opinion of course.

Consider this. You are playing to a larger group, so while I'm sure your head looks great shaved with a tattoo running up the side, perhaps many will find it off putting.  Just like many will find whatever this big tattoo you are thinking of off putting.

I find them gross, but tolerate them.  What I can't stand however is when there is ink covering a part I like.  Example, a woman's clavicle is sexy, those little dimples right above her ass cheeks is such a turn on, the daintiness of her neck, etc., etc. there is so much that is attractive about a woman's body, and the SKIN is where it starts.  So when one of these parts is covered . . . It's a fucking crime! As in the little inker should have his fucking fingers chopped off for imagining that he could ADD to the beauty of the part he just covered up!  The shear arrogance is mind boggling....to me.  Of course, they are instructed by the client, but...even plastic surgeons (ethical ones) don't perform certain procedures, I would extend this burden to the ink slinger as well.  So, as to my opinion, tattoos on these parts of women are fucking disgusting, other places less disgusting.  The next guy will say, ink all over her ass is great, and on her neck too, but please don't get a tat on your navel, groin, or elbow.  You add up enough guys, and pretty soon there's no good place on the body for one.

I would suggest that unless YOU love them, or feel strongly attached to the Maori tribe's tat you are about to enlarge and put all over, you make a small change the other way, and get it off.  Like Will Ferrell said, "Make good choices!"

She can do whatever the hell she wants with HER own body.  Do you know what it takes to remove a tattoo?  NO,  you don't.  She's young and she likes tattoos apparently.  Go FIX yourself first.  I think most people are tired of your nastiness.  Have some class and not be an ass.

Having an opposite, unpopular, or even a minority opinion does not necessarily make someone an ass.
Just as there are reviewers who will Deduct Points on appearance for tattoos, fake boobs, heavy make-up, and a myriad of other reasons... other reviewers will Add Points for these same things.

As analytical as my brain is, I can understand Johnnycade's POV in that:
the OP got a name tattooed on her body,
she now considers it a mistake,
and wants to cover it over with a larger tattoo.

Johnny says Remove it. and further up the thread Harry suggested the same thing, only without so many words. I tend to agree with them both to a point.

If it was My Body, and If I had (for example) the name "Jennifer" (as in Aniston, Lawrence, Lopez, Garner, etc) tattooed on my body. Now, I'm not with her, nor do I want her name on my body there anymore (I have various reasons to want it to disappear).  I'd really consider Removing it before Covering it.

Say I Cover it. My new large Batman logo (or other large concealing tattoo) is now over the top of Jennifer. Sure, I may now portray myself as a Batman fan, but in my heart and mind I know there was a spot and a time that I was a Jennifer fan. After all, it's still down there somewhere, even if part of what you see is a little bit imagination.

Yet, if I could go through the multiple steps and expense and time and all else to have Jennifer Removed, more permanently? Then in my mind, I've finally rid myself of being a Jennifer tattoo wearing guy. If later on I want to be a Batman fan, then that site of the new tattoo is not predicated on anything more than my personal choice.

If the cost - time, talent, expense - is too high for removal, then sure... I'd go for the cover and be Batman! After all, I've made an informed choice at that point. I'd also be less likely to think of it as a Jennifer tattoo area and thus my imagination to see Jennifer inside Batman would be greatly diminished,

To my recollection, the OP did not mention removal as an option, so I agree with Harry at least that it should be considered.

As usual Khori, I see your POV as well:
It's Her Body. It's Her Decision.... but she did ask for opinions. Unfortunately, on a public forum you might not always get the opinions what you want to hear.

Honestly Khori. I've yet to meet you but I somehow don't think you'd recommend a client (who's been trying to hide his baldness with a now ugly toupee) to go out and get an even larger, more noticeable, toupee... even if he really likes toupees and feels confident wearing one. Even though it's His Head, His Decision, I think you just might like him better if he came clean. Right?

Like I said, Tolerance goes both ways.

The "removal" of a tattoo,  still leaves scarring.  It's never going to go away completely.

Yes,  it is a public forum, and he has every right to say what he wants and be wrong.  No question there.  He has always been problematic and this stems from posts previous.  I have nothing against this guy,  but, he's usually rude and seems to be not liked.  He can post what he wants as well as anyone else.  So,  obviously, your reference to "Jennifer" has to do with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck....  kudos,  I guess....

More annoying comments to come.....   geesh

was the most common Girl's name here in the States for 14 years in the 70s and 80s. See link below.

I named a few celeb Jennifers - like I stand a chance in Hell of meeting any much less dating any of 'Those' Jennifers - to illustrate my point in why I might have a name inked on my body. Now my generation finding another Jennifer to replace the previous Jennifer so the tattoo can stay might sound rude and crude, but I know guys who always fall for a Jennifer - regardless of appearances.

For the record, I have never had a tattoo but did have a pattern drawn on my shoulder by a pretty good artist back in college. He used a permanent marker to "ink" a logo on my shoulder, charged me $10 for about 10 mins work. He said that if I liked it that I should come back in the next 5 days so he could finish it for $100 more. I eventually went back a couple of weeks later and gave him a $20 in gratuity for NOT inking me and taking my money right off the bat. I even referred a few classmates who thought they wanted one because that artist was so honest about his craft.

As far as Scars go, we all have them. Some are just more prevalent than others. Most don't bother me at all. Heck some are even sexy! After all, a few stretch marks means you're with a true MILF!
And name one person in his right mind that dislikes a MILF.

Just Remember the old ad: "MILF does your body good."

Annoying you enough? Hope so.
ga_kosh

I wasn't referring to you as annoying,  lol......just in general....not you.  :)

To me a MILF is a young mother maybe in her mid twenties. (without stretch marks I might add) I am willing to bet your definition extends at least to the thirties and forties where many of these women are plenty old enough to be GILF's,

But I am thrilled that I seem to be in the minority here. The great news for me is that the younger ladies to which I am attracted are less in demand, which makes it easier for me to schedule, and even lower in price as they have not had the time to build a reputation that would allow her to charge the higher rates that many of these MILFS/GILFS are able to command.

Works for me. Go MILFs. lol

Hey honey I loved your response and opinion after reading u and johnycades responses I really am  considering removing it now. Thank you for your honesty, I really don't like when peoe argue on forums.. Wish we could be adults and accept everyone has an opinion :) thank u

Damn Khori, how do you really feel?  lol

I'm FAR from perfect.....but,  this guy puts women down.......misogynist...total turn off.....

Yikes!

I had to look it up, thought maybe you were using this word in some unusual way.  I think of it more as humorist or satirist, but after some digging I think I might be a misogynist, more on that later.

Just as an FYI, I have opinions about things (hair, lingerie, tattos, etc.) and I try to express them with absurd humor to make a point, so that perhaps, if your guard is not all the way up and your mind is not fully closed, you might get a giggle and see the truth of a point of view you don't agree with.  I don't say any of this to be mean or rude, if that's the way you take it . . . well then it's your right to misinterpret me any way you want.  I'll try a little harder to tone it down.  Present post excluded, because I was less funny and did rant more than I thought I had.

As to putting women down . . .  back it up a step.  I don't put women down, I point out the good and the bad, I'm fair, and I don't attack the woman or women.  I keep my opinion on topic.  I think you assume that because I don't agree with something, and express an opinion against it that I am belittling the woman that has whatever that something is . . . just so we're clear, the two are separate.  So I'm not sure where this putting women down thing is coming from.

I also usually don't bother to express redundant opinions, so if everyone is piling on with something I agree with or don't care about, I leave it alone.  But when I see a bunch of opinions and no dissent, on something that should have a dissenting opinion, then I feel more obligated to chime in.  Example, here, no one was interested in pointing out that most of the time no tat is better than any tat, so I did, and then some others felt like they could express an opposing opinion.  See, one might have thought from this thread, wow ALL guys like tats the bigger the better, now its clear it is more mixed.  So I can see why you might think of me as a downer, but that's because I down when everyone says its great and no one suggests another point of view.

So back to the misogynist accusation.  I looked it up and it says hates women . . . mmmm, nope, not me.  So I looked a little more and a whole bunch of stuff about not liking to work with or for women, etc. ... nope, still not me.  THEN we get to sexual objectification, so I looked that up, and ya, that's sort of me.  I like to receive oral more than give, check.  And I prefer sexual positions that don't require eye contact, yup that's me too, love doggystyle.  See I thought that I was just a legs, back and ass man, and thought that BBBJ felt so good I had to get some more, but it turns out I sexually objectify women in a misogynistic way and am therefore one-tenth misogynist.

Fun fact.  One of the hallmarks of sexual objectification was using a female's body as a thing, specifically a canvas . . . now I didn't mention it before cause I didn't want to bring up respect issues and tattooing, but since it relates directly to misogyny . . . .ah fuck it never mind.

Another fun fact, sexual objectification as it relates to advertising and marketing specifically relates to adds that hide a woman's face, because that objectifies her . . . do you think maybe that we are all objectifying the women (to the extent the woman chooses not to reveal her face) in a misogynistic manner?  True that it's done for a reason (anonymity or legal), but the effect is the same right?

Hi honey, I really do appreciate your opinion and response. U made me see thru a man's eyes, I really like that. Now I am thinking of just removing it, I love my body and I want everyone to love it too. ( well everyone that matters :)  you would be happy to know that my neck elbows tits and ass are completely bare..and I have the sexiest lower back dimples u have ever seen :)

I agree with Johnnycade and also he was not being nasty to her. Just offering his opinion which she asked for. Then Khori started the nastiness.

OH BS.   I am NOT nasty.   I say what I feel.  IF you don't like it,  ignore me.   Obviously you haven't read his previous posts....

Glad he has a couple fans!  WOO HOO!  LMAO!

You asked for opinions, cause you wanted to understand.  You got back many validations, and many love gray hair posts.  I just happen to care about hair color, and let you know that there are others that don't like gray and that I found it odd and potentially disingenuous that so many would say it was great.  I did that in a sarcastic way, because so many were idealizing natural beauty as preferred, when that doesn't jive with the world or anything we see out in it.  I wasn't putting you down, or anyone else. I then pointed out that for those who do care about hair, there is more than color to consider, hair is complicated for some guys.

In fact, I noticed that shortly after that you posted your pics as you are, showing your current hair; and in a business where so many are trying to hide their true looks that takes courage, so good on you.  It was professional of you to do so.

You've got me twisted up with someone who is mean for the sake of being mean, I just care about the little things more than most because I notice them and I know what I like and don't like about the little things.

Just relax, and don't take me so seriously.

OK...cool...no problem....maybe I was having a bad day.....truce.....  :)

K

That is the question.

I don't have anything against tats, in fact I have seen some ladies that have very beautiful body art.

I guess my practical side just considers the odds.  I have seen some tats that look amazing and add to a woman's natural beauty.  But I've seen many, many more that aren't great and detract from a lady's appearance.  So, from an odds perspective I would say be very careful and tasteful about what you choose.  Especially in this business.

But if a tat makes you feel sexy and it's how you express yourself, I say go for it.  You should ultimately do what makes you happy.  And if a gent won't see you because of your tat(s) then you probably weren't a good match anyway.

As far as removing versus covering it up with another, I guess I don't know enough to say.  If tat removal causes scarring the that is certainly something to consider.  All things being equal I would prefer non-tatted skin over a bad tat job though.

Thank you so much for your opinion baby I agree. Bad tat jobs are so unsexy. Now I am definitely considering removal :)
