Mainhattan is very public transportation friendly..   Tram 11 stop Daimler Street, follow the red FKK signes, couple blocks walk..  Easy..

I have been reading a lot about Frankfurt and Koln and cant decide which city to visit for my March 14-16th FKK fun!  I would appreciate any advice on which city and FKKs to visit.  I also need advice on hotels to book and transportation advice.  Thank you in advance for any help!

If so, Koln since there are many clubs in NRW.

If not, than Frankfurt might be a better choice (Palace, Mainhattan)

Thanks for the response! I won't be renting a car.  Are the NRW one not convenient to public transportation?

If you are going to Frankfurt & have a car I'd recommend a trip to World..  There was a post by lizard50 while back on hotel near by.

A budget option, 27 Euro a night, very near to World (1 mile walk) is the guesthouse Zum Grünen Baum.

Note my Garmin GPS had the address for World however is stopped me bout 2 blocks shot of actual location, just in case just keep driving you can't miss the Huge FKK flags...

I've also stayed at Hotel Arosa in Frankfurt, http://www.hotelarosa.de/index.php?lang=en OK rooms good prices..

Care for a driving partner?  I may have some vacation time I can burn...

I generally don't rent cars in other countries.  I most rely on public transportation.  I was hoping that the FKKs were public transportation friendly.

will be in FRA/DUSS on a mega tour of FKK..

would like a driving partner :)

I will be in Dusseldorf March 12-19 and intend to explore some of the small, less well known clubs in the area.  I would love to have a partner to share driving or cab fare, etc.  If that fits your travel plans PM me to work out details.

NRW try Dolce Vita and Magnum.

Places like Goldentime are probably out of reach.

I've been to FKK land four times, last visit in October, next planned for April. With a 2-3 night time frame, I would suggest Frankfurt or Dusseldorf as your home base.

If you choose Frankfurt, my personal favorites are Mainhatten and Oase, in that order. Mainhatten and Palace are easy to get to from downtown by either cab or TRAM. Oase, World, and Sharks are farther and require either a car or a 30-60 minute train trip plus cab. Mainhatten is smaller, closer, with good selection, lower pressure "sales". Oase has the largest selection, but can get crowded at peak times, has more "sharkiness" (although not as much as Palace). I've had more variability in my sesssions there. On the other hand, anaverage day in an FKK will blow away any experience you've had in the states.... Seriously....

In the Dusseldorf area, my current favorites are Golden Time and Acapulco, essentially a toss-up between the two. As others have stated, Golden Time can get busy, but I have had great luck early in the day, especially on Sunday. The variety and quality of ladies is exceptional. Acapulco is a bit more laid back, but also with excellent selection and less crowded with men. Living Room and Villa Vertigo are good options, although my experience has not been as good at either of these lately. LR is a short train ride or cab from downtown, but the other 3 locations will require a car or longer train trip and cab. I have always used the train / cab combo without problems.

In the Koln area, Samya and Bernd's are the main options. I have not made it to Bernd's yet, but my experience at Samya was not as good as the other clubs mentioned above, so I would choose Frankfurt or Dusseldorf as home base the first time around. If you still want to check out Samya, Koln is about an hour train trip from Dusseldorf or Frankfurt.

If you choose Frankfurt and want to stay downtown, I enjoy a hotel called "the Pure", one block from the train station. Modern, friendly, great beer and take out sushi next door.

If you're heading to Dusseldorf, I've stayed at Max Hotel Garni, 3 blocks from the train station. Both are clean, friendly, and mid priced by US standards.

Individuals seem to prefer one city over the other, but Dusseldorf wins with me by a slight margin due to the laid back, "no approach" atmosphere, better variety (fewer Romanians, more Germans), and slightly better rates for extended visits and "extras". You can't go wrong either place.

Happy hunting!
