TER has some pretty robust search tools.

As already expressed, only VIP members get to use the PM functions.  TER's "Mail Help" goes into more details.

You can try searching a specific message board for all posts from a given handle in a given time frame (for example, mine shows, at this moment, 249 posts going back to August 2005), and I've got approved reviews going back to Feb 2006.  You would have to ask the person what message board to search for their handle on (unless you feel like going through all 25 regional boards and all the national message boards).

There's also the fact that "VIP membership" can come from paying for it, or from submitting reviews and corrections.  People accumulate days in their time bank by doing these things, and can shut off the billing.  I don't see why that should make any difference, as either way the person is an active contributor, but it seemed like it might be pertinent here.

I've been really busy and haven't posted on here in awhile, but I've still been checkuing in and reading posts..

Just wondering- I've started offering a discount to TER members (20$ off) and ask individuals to pm me from their TER account, which proves they are a member.. but how can I tell when they became a member/for how long? And whether that membership is a VIP paid membership or just a free one?? Please let me know ASAP..

if you are a VIP, you send him a PM which he can read if he is a VIP.  Or, when you search for reviews by the TER member, you could ask him to verify some partial content of a review or a short list of ladies he has reviewed.  Otherwise, you may be dealing with someone who stole a TER member's identity.  Someone could send you an e-mail and say their TER handle is Keystonekid.  You need to be able to tell the imposter from me.  Hope this makes sense.

...she already knows that they can't read or send PM unless they're CURRENT VIP members, and that's how she's ALREADY communicating.  So she's not gonna get anyone trying to impersonate you, and if I want to communicate with her she's gonna know my real username and not this alias.  What she wants to know is if this site will let her know how long a VIP member has been a member.  My simple suggestion is to do a search on the member's name.  It will pull up all of his reviews, which are of course dated by month & year.  This will give her some ideas.

Can only guesstimate length by reviews they have written.
As to whether or not they are cash VIP or review-based, again, look at the number of reviews they have written.  You can get a reasonable estimate by how many review (roughly 2 per month).

Incidentally, love your site and pix. If I could only find an excuse to visit MadU.
