I feel the same way wearing a meeting partner's Old Spice body wash.  GAG!!

I'm getting a permanent incall at the end of the month, and would love opinions from both ladies and gents on things I could include to give it a nice upscale, yet homey and relaxed feel. It's a spacious studio apartment with a full kitchen, living and bedroom area and seperate bath. It even has a walk in closet and washer/dryer so I can keep lots of goodies and have plenty of fresh linens.

Here are some things that I suggest.  It's just my opinion so take it for what it's worth.  I don't presume to speak for everyone.

A clothes rack or valet with hangers.  It seems that ladies like to market themselves to us "upscale gentlemen" then expect us to throw our nice clothes on the floor.  Please have a place for us to hang up our stuff.  Better yet, help us get undressed and hang up our clothes for us.  And help us get dressed again before we leave.  It's a really nice touch which also enhances the whole GFE fantasy.  Besides I'm old, so help with buttoning and unbuttoning is much appreciated.  :-)  Please treat us like the upscale gentlemen I know you want us to be.

Please have some kind of chair in the bedroom so we can sit.  Many incalls have a bed but not a single other place to sit down and put our socks back on.  Also, some of us more adventurous types would like something other than just a bed.  A comfy chair with ottoman makes for a very nice place for older gentlemen to have lovely young ladies sit in their laps and tell them stories.  Or other things.  Many of us gents do like to sit - with or without a sexy lady in our lap.

For the love of God - please have something other than Axe body wash in the shower.  Not only is it offensive to those of us with working olfactory senses and/or allergies it might be hard to explain to anyone coming within ten feet of us why we smell like cheap cologne.  Which we have none of in our actual homes.  If you catch my drift.  Which you certainly will if I have Axe on my person...  Have I beaten the cheaply scented horse to death (and beyond) yet?  Please ladies, just have some unscented bodywash for us upscale gentlemen - if that truly is the clientele you want to attract.  Axe body wash and those strong/cheap soaps are best left in the high school locker rooms.

I'm sure I'll think of some more but I hope those ideas help you...

Thank you kindly for the thoughtful reply! I will definitely make a note to have some hangers/hooks around. And I want it properly furnished, I think that's part of the point to making nice gentleman feel comfortable. I love sitting in laps and telling stories btw ;)

I have a personal vendetta against Axe products. They smell like what a 12 year old boy thinks a man should smell like. Unscented body wash is the best way to go for sure.

Thanks again!

You're very welcome.  And the fact you are asking these kinds of questions already says nice things about you.  If you are motivated enough to ask our advice here on how you can best provide a pleasant and romantic environment - it is a very good sign.

Oh, I knew I was going to forget something important for the new place.  A sex swing.  You most definitely need a good, sturdy sex swing.  Preferably that seats two.  Please don't forget that.

Ok, just kidding.

Well, sort of...

LOL

...I agree with the chair too. A straight back sturdy chair for lap sitting and putting on socks and shoes.

The soap matters. I've been using the Dove for men body wash for a few years now. I've noticed most of the ladies have this in their showers so it's good for me. However something unscented is important for clients going home to SO's etc.

Thank you to the ladies I see that do help with my clothes. Just yesterday I came out of the after activities shower to find my clothes laid out on the bed. Big thank you.

I'll add make some provision for music. Radio, CD player, ipod, tablet with Pandora, something. I like good music in the background.

Ava,

I have found an extra hanger for a dress shirt would be nice.  So the jacket, pressed pants, shoes and anything else goes there on the valet. Then his dress shirt on hanger is hung draped in front over them (keeping private what is under).  Being somewhat of an industrial engineer this keeps every thing close and keep either one from going in and out of your closet saving time and separation.

So with all that detail on this gentleman's best friend .. (well sort of), one of the best times memorable was in (almost) an empty apartment.  You see Caylee just got this apartment and since it was snowing and nasty all week, could not get any furniture delivery that week. I needed warmth.  Upon entering it was still cold.  With apology she led me to the bedroom where there was a single bed and a fire.  Snowing outside and hot times inside, needless to say I did not need my gentleman's valet.

I suppose you can guess what we opt for . . . and come back for.

Good luck
BonneChance

Well yes, I would hope so ;)

I think I'm just going to try to get things that make me comfortable and hopefully that will translate well. Thanks for your input!

Hey A,
A while back there was an agency with a woman who must have liked baking.  When I went there, whether to see her or someone else, she had sometimes made choc chip or oatmeal cookies.  They were fresh, the place smelled good.  Maybe its just me, but I liked that!
Keep the tub/shower clean.  Don't let soap scum build up, and always have a dry bathmat.  The thought of my toes going on a wet towel or floor where someone else has recently stepped somehow gets me more than . . . well you know where else he went.  Maybe I need 10 little condoms for each toe?
Unscented liquid soap.  Don't want to lather my privates with a bar someone has used.

There's an interesting ad campaign in there: "Get your cookies and eat them too!".

Hmmm...  How about for a greek friendly provider that is good at making homemade fudge: "Come see how the fudge is packed!".

What's that?  I crossed that line again?  What line?  Oh, THAT line.  Uh, sorry about that folks...

I like to please all of the senses with small touches to create my magical office land, just like theme parks do to induce the escape.  Soothing music, clean room, pleasant aroma, soft chair and lighting, and a sweet minty mouth.   I want you to forget your troubles when you cross the threshold and have adopted a serene environment for us to do just that.

- Experiment with lighting in the space and different lamps/bulbs to achieve the result you want.  Blackout curtains if the space is too bright.
- At my home office, I have a carefully placed mirror for dictation to be observed from my "office chair".  (an overstuffed chair with a fresh towel on the seat)
- Scent burners with a natural aroma - cedar, spruce, vanilla, orange.
- Pandora is fabulous for ambiance.
- Towel/Washcloth set up with unscented soap; mouthwash
- The valet set up, as previously mentioned.  It could be as simple as the over-the-door arm with a few hangers.
- Bottled water, covers, lube and tissues at the ready
- A soft something to place my phone on so I don't hear it buzz
- Maybe think about soundproofing ideas if your walls are shared and you're a noisemaker like me.

Things I try not to have in my office -
- Dust
- Toilet ring
- Evidence of a previous meeting
- Anything not sexy - junk mail, knick knacks, clothes on the floor

Great ideas, thanks for the suggestions.  You sound like you have your act together.

Mirrors are awesome.  Placed with a good reflection angle of the bed (or chair) they can add a lot of sexiness.  Ladies, remember us men are largely visual creatures.

Scented candles.  I would recommend checking with your gent first.  Some are ok for me (vanilla for example) but some smell like turpentine.  For some of us strong overpowering smells are uncomfortable or worse - they can trigger migraines or sneezing fits.  Please refence my above rant on cheap smells...  So ask your gent.

On a related note, since I am very sensitive to smell I always ask my women to not wear perfume.  It can be overpowering and honestly much of it is the female equivalent to Axe body spray.  Also, I've never found a perfume that I like as much as a woman's natural scent.  Some guys like perfume, some (like myself) don't, so you may ask first.

Ringing/beeping/vibrating phones.  Ladies please, just turn them off for us.  Even hearing them vibrate away on the nightstand can be a mood killer.  We men want to be the complete center of your world for the short time we are with you.  Please allow us that fantasy.  It may sound self centered, but there is the truth of it.

I buy the disposal little tooth brushes. I roll a bath towel (white of course) with a hand towel and wash cloth and place it in the bathroom along with mini mouth wash. Liquid unscented soap Who wants to use a bar of soap someone else used BLAH. It is a good way to give an easy hint to get comfortable. I also have a tray of fresh fruit and cheeses on the table with wine glasses to offer.Candles a nice touch I just bought battery operated which change colors. Get rid of the white bulbs and do a soft pink. A warm wash cloth to finish is also a nice touch to clean. Just my two cents. Good luck on your new place. Julie
