Nothing new, this has been going on since '08, longstanding dislike of her. & if you think the next 9 months will be tough, how about if she wins the Presidency ? She's a masochistic nut to be continuing to do this. IF she wins the Presidency, she'll only be a 1 termer. I think that's a safe bet.
with Hillary narrowly winning. Of course, these are the odds AT THIS TIME & 9 months is an eternity in politics, which can throw such prognostications as this into the crapper.
The current odds are Hillary at even money to win it all, with Trump at close to even money to win the GOP nomination, and second choice to win the White House at 7-2,
Keep in mind it takes two entirely different skill sets to be an oddsmaker than it does to actually pick winners. And before anyone who knows "just enough about gambling to be dangerous" chimes in with the fact that similar to horse racing, the odds in political elections are based on how much action is wagered on each candidate, SOMEONE has to set the morning line before any bets are placed, that is the job of a linesman, and you can be a very good linesman, but still suck at picking winners.
I don't know who this #1 oddsmaker is you speak of, but he is hardly going out on a limb with his predictions. Quite the contrary, he is just picking the two front runners, and as you yourself mention, 9 more months is an absolute eternity in politics. It's like picking next years Super Bowl winner without accounting for injuries etc.
hard to believe, but from my observation, true. Obama is revered by huge majority of Dems, but there's a significant minority of the Democratic base that despises her. Very evident on social media, & that's as good a microcosm as any other.
There are not a lot of Dems who outright hate or despise Obama. Plenty of righties, but very few lefties. About the worst thing libs say about Obama is that they were "disappointed", not that they despise him.
Hillary does evoke the "I despise her" level of animus, and I don't think it's based strictly on her crimes and alleged crimes. I think it's more basic than that, She is just not a very likeable person and the more we see of her, the more people are going to grow to hate her. Although I concede she still deserves to be the front runner, I just don't see how she can keep this up for nine more months.
