to make a difference in this election. It's the left behind segment of society who don't have an education, marketable skills, or any ability to make or save money on their own.

It gets down to one key sentence Sanders has said over and over.

"The government of a democratic society has a moral responsibility to play a vital role in making sure all our people have a decent standard of living".

The allure of a guaranteed job, guaranteed housing, free healthcare, and all the other stuff promised by Sanders may sound appealing to many. Are there enough of them to make a difference? Probably not. Or should I say, are there enough of them willing to expend the effort to vote? Probably not.

Fanatical, out of touch, far left lemmings going off an electoral cliff. IF the nominee, he'll carry Vermont & that's it. McGovern-Mondale redux. The far right doesn't have a monopoly on "low information voters", plenty on the far left as well. Pitiful dumbshits who know very little about politics & history. Lemme clue them in for the last time : a 75 year old Socialist will NEVER be President. Case closed.

I know betting odds are no more reliable than polls at this stage of the game, but I do find it interesting that while Hillary is still the prohibitive favorite, the odds have closed to 1-4 down from a whopping 1-12 just a couple of months ago.

Some people claim a hard fought primary campaign is going to strengthen her for the General Election, but I see the opposite happening. I think the Dems are going to do what the GOP has done the last two cycles, Hillary is going to be forced so far to the left, she'll never come far enough back to center to win, assuming of course she is even on the ballot come November. Interesting enough, Joe Biden's odds have dropped to 16-1, down from 18-1 a couple of days ago and virtually off the board a month or two ago when he claimed he was not going to run.

Who'll win ? Not a fucking clue at this point, anyone's guess. Previous polling had Rubio doing best against her, but old data, prior to his disastrous debate. My guess is that she can probably beat him, as to the rest, stay tuned.  Lastly, I wished Biden would have ran, he would have gotten my vote hands down.

He had overtaken Trump as the favorite to win, but that lead lasted only lasted a day or two.

Hillary is like Trump in one respect, her negative numbers are also off the chart, just like his. but they are still the respective front runners and heavy favorites to become the nominees.

I am still surprised that Biden didn't declare, and I am still not convinced that we have heard the last of him. I can easily see a scenario where he comes riding in to save the day as Hillary goes down in disgrace. Yes, it's a long shot, but I think it "could" happen.

The beauty of this scenario from the Dem POV at least, is that this would spare Crazy Uncle Joe all the wear and tear of having to beat Hillary in the primaries and cut down on the inevitable gaffes he would have made along the way that could have been used against him in the GE.

I know I sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it "could" happen

And, who's going to pay for it!  ;)

“'Sen. Sanders' plan really rests on making sure that governors, like Scott Walker, contribute $23 billion on the first day to make college free,' she continued. 'I’m a little skeptical about your governor actually caring about enough higher education to make any kind of commitment like that.'”

Free college looks good to me, I'm starting to feel the Bern.

"The government has one of the highest paid workforces in the country. Federal bureaucrats make 78% more in total compensation than people in the private sector. State and local employees make on average 25% more.

Combined with laws that make it extremely difficult to fire public employees, even for explicit or criminal misconduct, it's no wonder that hardly anyone leaves.

A CBS News investigation found,

At the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), red tape is preventing the removal of a top level employee accused of viewing porn two to six hours a day while at work, since 2010. Even though investigators found 7,000 pornographic files on his computer and even caught him watching porn, he remains on the payroll. ...

The administrative process meant to prevent against politically motivated firings is the civil servant protection system. The rules give employees the right to appeal a termination, a process that can take up two years. ... [CEO Max Stier] said those rules make it nearly impossible to fire poor performers or problematic employees, even when they've committed egregious violations. ...

Five years ago, the General Services Administration (GSA) spent more than $800,000 on a lavish conference in Las Vegas. They were served 1,000 sushi rolls costing $7 each and a clown and mind reader were hired for entertainment. Two managers were initially fired but got their jobs back after the MSPB reversed the decision. ...

Firing belligerent or hostile workers is difficult, too. One former manager told CBS News he tried for more than a year to fire an employee who was intimidating co-workers and superiors, at one point even chasing a manager down the hall.

Upset about being reprimanded, the employee sent him numerous menacing emails, including one that read: "I can stand over you to [sic]. I am 6 foot 3 inches and I weigh 265, and I am not backing down. ... And by the way, I do know where you live.""

The federal government is not unique in this. Rules vary across cities and states, but thanks to union contracts and special "law enforcement bill of rights," it's almost impossible to fire a cop, even for obvious criminal misconduct, let alone ordinary incompetence.

The same is often true for teachers. Thank to tenure, union rules, and other political privileges, firing a bad teacher is really hard. New York City alone spends $22 million a year to keep problem teachers in "rubber rooms," away from kids, as they bounce around the arbitration process while the city tries to fire them."
