That REALLY does not surprise me, and I suppose Huckabee will be right behind

Which would explain them showing up at Trumps event in Iowa.

and yes, I am VERY happy neither of them are relevant candidates this cycle.

It wouldn't surprise me if he were not followed by five or six more candidates dropping out in the next week or so.

I was never much of a fan of old Rand, but he did seem to make a bit more sense of late. He may have some success in the future as he doesn't seem to be anywhere near as BSC as his father, and I do like his Libertarian leanings.

Jeb Bush Has to Tell New Hampshire Crowd ‘Please Clap’

Poor Jeb Bush; the Republican presidential contender had to tell the audience of a New Hampshire event when they were supposed to clap during his speech Tuesday.

The New York Times was present at the event, and reported:

"Speaking to a crowd at the Hanover Inn near the Vermont border during his final stop of the day, Mr. Bush finished a fiery riff about protecting the country as commander in chief – “I won’t be out here blowharding, talking a big game without backing it up,” he said – and was met with total silence.

“Please clap,” he said, sounded defeated."

You'd think with all the money they've raised they could afford an "Applause" sign...

GaG, I do not believe they were EVER relevant in this election cycle.

Well the good news for George Bush, maybe he will be remembered as the "smart brother" the one who actually got elected to POTUS. Jeb is really starting to embarrass himself.

I think Jeb would be doing the "establishment' a favor by dropping out sooner rather than later. If Bush would drop out before NH, Rubio most likely would get those votes and after a strong third in Iowa coupled by maybe second in NH, he would be the definite frontrunner going forward.

Personally I hope Jeb stays in until the bitter end as I have no love for the establishment or Rubio.

and yes Doc, I agree none of the recent drop out were ever relevant to this election cycle.

Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore tied with Daffy for last place in Iowa with 0.0% of the popular vote.

At a minimum, it smells of desperation with a capitol D.  ;)

Hobbyists all know what the trouble is, as explained in an article I read today that included the following quote:

"Right now, people don't want liberty. They may want a sense of freedom for themselves, but aren't willing to endure their neighbor's freedom. Modern Americans will sacrifice their own rights to wield control over others. If you doubt that, attend your town's next planning commission meeting. For freedom to reign, the culture must change, and a political campaign is not going to do that.
