When I have stayed overnight, I have found Ballys to have some very nice rooms.  I find the casinos pretty much equal.

Please excuse the alias but this is a non-confrontational issue...at least I hope it is!

I'm trying to get recommendations on a good hotel/casino in Atlantic city.  I am planning a two day extended date with my ATF and have never been to Atlantic City before. I am looking for a great place to stay and hit the tables. The hotel review boards are very contradictory. Frankly, I get the feeling that half of the reviews are planted to hurt the competition.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Harrahs is the place you want to be.

any of the major names on the boardwalk are nice--if you really want to splurge go to The Borgata(which is not on the boardwalk).

If you are cheap then stay at a hotel.. but if u want a good experience stay at one of the casinos.
Caesars, Showboat, and Taj are the ones i recommend. I stay at the trop cause I get free rooms cause i play there all the time.

Borgata is too over price just to have a room to sleep and screw.

They are easily head and shoulders above the rest of the casinos in AC for many reasons. But if that doesn't work for you then the other casino/hotels which are the nicest (in my descending preference) are:
Caesars
Showboat
Harrah's
Taj Mahal
and maybe Tropicana.
Also, there is a Wyndham hotel (non-gaming) near Resorts Casino and a Sheraton next to the Convention Center which seem to be passable.

Good luck!

Not to be confrontational but I do not think  this is off topic .
