Well since you are asking the question, I assume you are new. Or new to the lifestyle anyway. Make friends with well respected providers and ask them advice. I have heard of some small, private overnight parties amongst very close friends in the hobby. I have never participated in any but I know they exist. For the security and discretion of all involved obviously there would need to be a lot of trust built first.
I think one thing to think about is scale. Did you mean 2 guys and 2 girls, 4 on 4, many on 1, moresomes? I would think everyone has their personal preferences - consequently they may be into one of those variations but not all of them.
I personally am not into swinging (unless you count mff threesomes lol). My reasons are more around the logistics, safety, security and pacing of such a party. I'm not judging and I have no hang up about it, but it's not something that would really interest me.
Pro's:
Serious fun if all the folks are good friends and compatible
Bucket list worthy
Potentially could try several different provider flavors all in the same setting
Con's:
Logistics issues out the wazzoo. When/where/how many? What happens for last minute cancellations and schedule changes? Last man out hassles?
How to set safe boundaries so everyone is comfortable with the activities?
In my very limited swinging experience (long ago in the real world) it seemed there was always issues around someone getting too much attention, and others not enough. Which can lead to frustration, bad feelings, and fights. I suppose there would be less of that in the pro world. But the fact remains you have (many) people who all have their particular ideas about how the evening should go.
For me it boils down to too much trouble and risk for not enough reward. But that's just one man's opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

As an addendum you might want to get to know your sisters in the demimonde over and above this particular issue. Regardless of profession - networking with your fellow professionals is always a good idea before you have something specific come up.
I have received valuable input on both business and professional matters from my fellow practitioners that I maintain contact with. The occasional lunch, phone call, can pay valuable dividends

find several board references by ladies who have done these. I've done some participating and, if you are confidant in your own skin, then it's a blast. As for electro's "potentially" pro - that's the point! At one the organizing lady told me I got the award for "most orifices visited," plus a demonstration foot job also. Don't go if you are shy. The first "con" is right on for the OP. The others are more related to swinging though. She might be better served seeking out an existing party, unless she's simply seeking a gangbang.

A work party requires a lot of planning. If you are just looking to scratch an itch, go to a swing club or party. If you are hesitant to fly solo, find a client you know and are comfortable with to escort you as your date...although IMO it can sometimes be easier to create whatever scene you want as a solo female.

I am a provider. I crave a little more excitement than the ordinary. Sometimes one guy just isn't enough, sometimes I want to act out my fantasies with a guy or guys who love to play along. I love voyeurism, women, and more than anything, I love variety. The trouble comes when I try to get two or more of my favorites together in order to satisfy my cravings.
