I have done, and enjoyed both, often at the same time lol

I have had some "non exclusive" longer term, paid arrangements, but as long as money is involved I retain the right to go fuck whoever else I want to.

There is something to be said for a bit of familiarity that comes with seeing the same woman for a period of time, and paying a SB is a lot easier and less stressful than trying to find a college aged GF when you are well past 50. lol Throw in the freedom to fuck who ever else you want to without it being considered "cheating" and what's not to like? until you get tired of it of course, and then you have the freedom to just STOP. No angst, no divorce, no "who gets the friends" you just go your separate ways.

I found a new hobby (kind of) over the last few months -  found a Sugar Baby and while it started it out great, I'm starting to think that I need to stop and get back into the hobby.

We have a great time together - we go out, text regularly, have very intense dates and overall have a great time together.  The problem is that she has a lot going on in her life and I think that I've gotten too close to her.  I find myself wanting to fix her problems - I want to say do these three things and your life will be better but then realize that it's not my job to fix her life and that she might resent it.   She doesn't complain but when you spend so much time together, you really get to know what's going on.

i think she's become too much like a real girlfriend.  Think I might come back to traditional hobbying.

Anyway, writing this helps me think this all through.

Is to fuck the hell out of someone else ;)

The whole sugar daddy/sugar baby thing NEVER worked for me.

I'm way too detached to deal with someone constantly like that. I like that I can just hit it and quit it altogether until the next time you get that "itch". lol I have my life that you don't care about, and you have yours that I don't have time to even WANT to know about. HEAVEN!!

That's the best thing about the hobby. You keep your freedom & your sanity. I'm sure there are some advantages to doing the whole SD/SB thing......but I can't think of any.......

You definitely won't lose anything by jumping back into the hobby.
You'll figure it out.

Even those 7 AM "first appointment" of the day doesn't insure against her having spent the entire evening before with another client, or shocker of all shockers, her husband or BF with whom she doesn't use a condom. lol

I understand what you're saying, but isn't the idea of being a SD to "help" her out...why not just make the suggestions.

I did make suggestions in the beginning but she didn't do anything differently and the issues persist.  I think she sees the issues as so big that it's hard to know where to begin.  To be clear, she doesn't complain but a typical date is usually about 5 hours and sometimes overnight so we have a lot of time to talk.

Is the stellar advice given by older, wealthier, wiser gentlemen that have been there, done that. My XSD taught me how to manage my finances and was a plethora of information. He was really helpful with other very practical things for me too. Only reason we split was because his wife found his phone. :(

Have you talked to your SB about if your advice is wanted? She may be very grateful for your help.

Obviously, this advice will go against the grain because we providers want you back in the hobby seeing us! But, that's my honest opinion, self serving set aside. If the sugar bowl hustle wasn't so hard, I'd be back in the bowl because I miss that relationship dynamic.

I would want out just because it sounds like she must continually be raising her problems with you.  Do not try to fix.  Just smile and listen as they go in one ear and out the other.  Fix one problem and it will be replaced by another.

BTW, how much is the monthly?

I think that a woman telling you about her problems is just telling you about her problems because that's how some women communicate.... aka venting...which is a girl thing that I do NOT understand.  When I hear about a problem - I want to solve it.  When women hear about a problem - they want to validate the problem and empathize about it and then do something about it.  Hence the popularity of Dr. Phil and Oprah.

She may not be interested in you actually solving her problems.... it may not actually be a big trust thing.  She may just want to tell somebody about her problems.  Don't read more into it than that

Yes, some women (and men I suppose) just like to run their mouths and tell EVERYONE who will listen about their personal problems.

I agree that I wouldn't read a lot into it, I have had people (not just women) tell me their entire life story, complete with all their personal problems, five minutes after having met them. AND with all our clothes still on. lol

I've been fortunate to be in a longer term SD/SB relationship and it has been fantastic! But be warned, spending that much time with one person can get confusing and you better have a good grasp on reality.
