What these guys are asking for sounds more like a Putin press conference, meaning the message is totally controlled.

Well, as the article explains, it's evolved. Now, Carson wants to limit debate time and debate nature by adding more time for beginning and ending statements, by each candidate, and Cruz wants the Republican debates to be only moderated by those who are registered Republicans. This might help some of them from clarifying, actually hiding, their policy positions and plans, for the Republican primaries, but it's going to set them up for failure if Hillary wins the Democrat primaries, since, given her command of policy positions and plans, and her significant experience and communication skills, she will make toast out of any Republican who is afraid of a "gotcha question."   ;)

of even hearing the term "gotcha question". If you're running for president you should be able to handle whatever anyone throws at you because you're going to have eight years of people's ridiculous expectations and assumptions that you control EVERYTHING and should be able to fix every problem. Some questions are dumb of course, but asking someone to clarify why they keep changing positions is just doing due diligence.

To be fair, just because she works for Fox, doesn't often keep her from calling out wimps on either side of the aisle.
