Advance Appointments and CLconfused_smile

I'm wondering:

Is 2-4 hours in advance enough time for a client to book an appointment? And if they don't confirm, should I try to meet with him anyway?

I was supposed to see a gentlemen this morning. We spoke and he wanted to see me in 40 minutes. I told him, "I can't. 40 minutes is too little notice for me."

He then asks me what my rates are. I told him to read my ad (they're listed there). I get this all the time.

What got me suspicious is: he never confirmed the appointment, never emailed me back or gave me a contact number.

In light of recent events, I don't want to be accused of being flaky again. I emailed him train schedules...but still no response.

I'm still a basic member, so I cannot receive PM's or emails (credit and debit cards got declined when I tried to sign up for VIP).

The would-be client only responded hours after I sent him the schedules.

He then said that he didn't want to meet with me in the morning and wanted to see me instead later on today. I knew he was playing around with me.

I read his email...and promptly erased it.

that happened to me once recently. I have my hours posted clearly on all of my emails and in my web site, but I got a "restricted" call from a man who wanted to see me at such & such an hour.  I said I'm not avaliable during that time.  He wouldn't take no for an answer.  He called again, I offered different times, different days, offered to refer him to someone I know who is avaliable.  No.. he wants me and it has to be at that certain time.  He offers to pay me double what I'm asking, then triple...
What a Jack Ass!!!
What did he think, I'm just sitting around during my time off, wishing I could get more clients???  Damn.  I totally knew there was something up.  He called at least three times a day until that certain day & that certain hour had passed.
Strange things man, strange things.....
