Any takers?

If anyone has suggestions, they would be much appreciated. What is the best way for a woman to find a legitimate job assisting either a provider or agency with phones, setting appointments, administrative help, etc? The ads on places like Craigslist or BP seem to only be for shady pimp types, or other types of non-desirable "agencies". Or do the legitimate ones typically only hire people they already know through word of mouth? Thanks in advance!

...employment or some such. Try contact them according to the instructions there and see what happens. I know that section is probably in anticipation of ladies wanting to work as escorts but it can't hurt to inquire.

Knowingly working for a "prostitution ring" which is what any agency who is busted will be labeled, is still against the law and actually you might be charged with a more serious crime of "promoting prostitution" than the "working girls" themselves would face.

Actually any agency would be foolish to hire you as an unknown as you would be privy to some pretty incriminating info. Quite frankly, you have been posting as a "newbie" for three years now, I wouldn't confide in you at gunpoint. Something about your handful of posts just seems a "bit off" to me.

My suggestion is to lay of the Doughnuts, and get a real job.

LOL at "doughnuts". While I understand your suspicion/paranoia, I can assure you I am not a "doughnut" eater.

But based on your attitude, I have to say I'm prone to rethinking wanting a job of this sort, if it involves having to speak to people with this kind of an attitude, day in, day out.

but thanks for playing.

If my "attitude" stems from not trusting people who act as sketchy as you, so be it.

that you are woefully inadequate for such a position. Answering customer's phone calls in this business takes someone with tact, intelligence and a good personality. You seem to have none of those traits.

Back to the Krispy Kreme you go.

Wow, lots of replies here.

Lol, still thinking I'm Billy Bob the doughnut eater, here with nefarious intent, I guess.

I know I haven't posted much here, (you seem more familiar with my number and frequency of posts than I am). I'm aware of this board from knowing a few people in the business who don't spend time here, but obviously know them.

I'm guessing I've posted maybe three, four times, in total?

If I *was* here with ill intent, that's a pretty lame effort. And to state the obvious, I didn't ask for any detailed or incriminating information. A simple response from someone relevant saying, "yes, you are correct, they tend to hire people they already know for safety purposes", would have sufficed.

I'm surprised at all these random assumptions about my intent, lack of legal knowledge, gender, etc, from a few lines of text. Not that I need to explain myself, but I already have a job. Alas, we live in a world where some of us with jobs, (even good ones), sometimes have situations where we may  consider a second. I've discretely gotten information I was looking for elsewhere, but please feel free to continue considering me "suspect' or shady, or whatever

and not much longer to read every post that you have made.

I have no idea if you are here with "ill intent" but let me put it this way. Your posting history and lack of anything that gives you the least bit of credibility here is not exactly confidence inspiring.

My actual advice to you still stands. Answering phones for a hooker or agency is considered "promoting prostitution"  and carries more  serious penalties than hooking itself, and this advice is only partly directed at you, it's something that anyone who is considering taking a job as a appointment setter, screener, or driver should be aware of. All of these "jobs" carry higher penalties than actually being a hooker is one is swept up in a bust. People should go into these jobs with their eyes wide open as "common sense" might lead one to believe that these are risk free jobs. They are not

Obviously you arent a provider or at least not a good one. There other skills besides the 3 he listed above that you do not posses...   Experience being the first.

Most assistants are former providers or have previous experience in screening and scheduling as well as standard 3-call systems.  Even as a new independent provider, i knew better than to hire someone that no one knows or didnt have an extensive resume of previous providers or agencies they have worked with in the past.

Go get a normal job that you ARE qualified for since your responses show you lack the tact, couth, candor, etiquette, character, and patience for a job in that field and I certainly wouldn't rely on you to be responsible for my safety or income.

  Am i wrong guys?
