The difference between Dems & Repubs. When the S.Ct. decided...

...the Citizen's United case, Dems, bitched and moaned about the decision, saying it was a bad decision and that money ≠ speech.   Some even called for a Constitutional amendment to overturn the decision.  Five years later, Obama has said the decision was wrong and "has caused real harm to our democracy."

The Court recently decided the case of Obergefell vs. Hodges, in which ruling they legalized same-sex marriage across the nation.  Republicans, including presidential candidates, have gone beyond the bitching and moaning.  Some have actually questioned the LEGITIMACY of the decision, claiming the Supreme Court did not have the power to make that ruling.  It's as if they don't know there are three EQUAL branches of gov't.  Checks and balances anyone?

Citizen's United & Obergefell were both 5-4 decisions.  The Dems didn't mention that - they knew there would be 5 votes against them and accepted it.  However, the Repubs questioned the number, as if a close majority decision somehow called the decision into question.

KY clerk Kim Davis's husband said something mind-bogglingly stupid:

"Just because five Supreme Court judges makes a ruling, it's not a law."

What's even more mind-boggling is that some of the Republican presidential candidates agreed with overall-clad, straw hat-wearing Hillbilly Joe.  Megyn Kelly asked Mike Huckabee about the 1803 landmark case of Marbury vs. Madison and Huckabee basically said: "F*ck Marbury vs. Madison!"

That's the righties' Republican Party - kowtowing to backwards, ignorant Bible-thumping morons and throwing the Founding Fathers (whom they supposedly revere) under the bus.

Just like bigguy30, Kim Davie is one of yours.

I know you'd love to trade her to the other team, but she still has a big shiny "D" next to her name

So she may be a Democrat but she is acting more like a crazy tea party member.
All she had to do in the first place is have another person give out the marriage license in her office.
She made it about herself.
When the courts already ruled against her actions.
Just like the Tea party on Obamacare or ACA law.

...to get elected to office.  But she effectively left the party when she became a thumper about four years ago.  Before that she was a good Dem - four husbands, kids out of wedlock, etc.

Point out over state, and exaggerate when a righty does something stupid, but when it is one of their own the excuses fly.
but it id fun to watch them lie, whine, cry, wiggle and squirm making excuses and try to make it look like the D  is not a D.

  Thank you
2015 = 28

BTW I'm looking forward to the next  P&R board episode of D vs D It is funny watching them pull each others hair, hit each other with their purse etc.

Family and strong moral values......that's what they sucker the conservatives on. Then they get caught screwing around with some TS in the back seat of their pickup truck. Then they ask for God's forgiveness and proclaim "I'm weak, please have mercy on me"....That what gets me, all this holier than thou BS.

I did not know fatgirl got caught

...road to Christian Sharia law for God and Country, how many Dems agree with her and how many Republicans get on the crazy train with her?  In this case, it's not the party she's in, it's the nuthouse she should be in.

The backstabber strikes again.

Another democrat on democrat backstabbing.

Disavowing one of his own and stabbing her in the back
