Sorry Mari, but I am the one taking a victory lap

I was the one who rightly predicted that the indictment would have not push Perry out of the race, but that he would fall flat on his face strictly on his own merits.

I would really like to make formal introduction here, Truth, meet our resident fake lawyer. Fake lawyer, meet the truth. It's high time the two of you get together.

OK I’d like to take a victory lap for predicting a year ago that the indictments would make Gov Perry the first one to drop out but – frankly, I’m not sure the indictments had that much to do with it.

Perry was just so inept on the campaign trail that he went down on his own accord.  He was haunted by his “opps” minute form the last campaign.  Every verbal gaffe -from claiming in the kiddie debate that the Beirut bombing took place in Iran to calling the Gipper “Ronald Raven” – was endlessly recycled as another “opps” minute. Meanwhile, as the plunging price of oil sent Texas frackers to mowing lawns to make a living, Perry’s claim that his policies had something with the booming Texas economy of the past was exposed.

Of course, what drove me crazy was that the media essentially accepted Perry’s false claim that the indictments were politically motivated and gave little coverage to the absurdity of a candidate running for office while under indictment. Grr. He was not even asked about the indictments at the kiddie debate. WTF?  When one of the two indictments was temporarily dismissed, the media proclaimed that as a “victory “
rather than acknowledge that it meant he had to go to trial on the second more serious indictment. When Perry stopped paying staffers – the sure sign of impending doom – the media accepted his claim that the Perry SuperPac had plenty of money. But most of this money was contributed by two super rich guys, so the PAC money did not mean that people were giving to Perry.

Meanwhile, the media gave 24/7 coverage to Hillary’s email problems, even though she broke no laws and is not even under criminal investigation….sign.

But I’m going to take my victory lap anyway- Governor Perry has gone down, and deservedly  so.

Now take note of the ironic truth of your statement as it relates to Scott Walker:

Scott Walker was a seriously considered contender for awhile, buoyed primarily by being the presumptive "Chosen One" of the Koch brothers.

No doubt the Kochs will find someone more worthy of their largesse in the near future, but it won't be this clown

It seems like Trump/Carson Clinto/Sanders have sucked all the air out of the room. Even Jeb is page two news. Of course Jeb will still be there at the end, but how about the other dozen or so GOP hopefuls? It's like they have all dried up and blown away.
